M <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT ( ATTEND CONFERENCE- KASPRZAK <br />Permission was granted to Captain John Kasprzak of the Police Records <br />and Identification Department to attend the annual Conference of the <br />International Association of �ndentification Officers in St. Louis, <br />Missouri July 22,tb'July 26, 1962. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT ( ATTEND GEN. STAFF SCHOOL U.S. ARMY - INST. HUNT ) <br />Permission was given to Inspector R. Hunt of the Police Department to <br />attend the 2nd Year Command and General Staff School of the U.S. Army <br />at Camp McCox, Wisconsin from July 1 to\July 14, 1962. Inspector Hunt <br />will leave town at 6:00 A.M. on July 1 and shall return on July 14, <br />1962 at aproximately 5:00 P.M. <br />In Inspector',HUnt's report he states that he will be absent for nine <br />working days so that these days should be deducted from accumulated time <br />of working days off. This is not accumulated time for hours over and <br />above eight hours a day, but days off that Inspector Hunt has worked. <br />APPLICATIONS (---POLICE DEPARTMENT ) <br />The following applications for the Police Department were accepted and <br />ordered placed on file: Richard"Bernard Isban, William Sterling Fish, <br />Jr. <br />PETITION: STREET LIGHT ( ELECTRICAL DEPT. ) <br />A Petition for a street light on Walnut Street between Donald and <br />Calvert Streets was referred to Nicholas Horvath, Electrical Department <br />for investigation and recommendation. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT HOUSE MOVE <br />With reference to the house move from 220 W. Navarre Street to Elmgr <br />and Elwood which was continued from May 26, 1962 to this date, hearing <br />was continued until July 9, 1962. Mr. Grabarz was directed to check with <br />the Engineering Department concerning the proposed move, and report to <br />the Board on July 9, 1962. <br />With reference to the property located at 807 N. Hill Street, owned by <br />Mr. Pustay, this hearing was continued until August 8, 1962. <br />The, structure located at 317 S. Franklin Street, owned by the Dolgbs <br />family, will be torn down and the family requested permission to make a <br />parking lot at this location. <br />The Board informed the owners that they must conform to the parking <br />ordinance of the City of South Bend and that signs must be posted in <br />accordance with regulations. <br />Mr. Grabarz advised the Board that he had received bids for demolition of <br />structure located at 206 Chicago Street. The following bids were <br />received: <br />E. J. Demolishing Co. <br />B & 0 Wrecking Co. <br />$150.00 <br />100.00 with salvage <br />250.00 no salvage. <br />The bid will be awarded to the B & 0 Wrecking Co., for $100.00 with <br />salvage. <br />1 <br />7 <br />I <br />
