51` <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT_ REQUEST TO MOVE OufSIDE CITY LIMITS <br />Following the recommendation of Chief Harman, the Board approved a <br />contemplated move by Detective Sergeant E. R. Bergman to Harrison. <br />Avenue, north of Darden Road, which is four blocks from the present <br />City Limits. Officer Bergman has been on the force for 15 years. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT ( APPLICATION) <br />An application for the Fire Department from George Byron Radanovich <br />was accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER ( TRAFFIC SIGNS ) <br />Following the recommendation of Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, the <br />Board approved the following installation; <br />2 - 30 Minutes Parking Limit signs to cover 623 E. LaSalle St. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street Light Outage.Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />WEIGHTS & MEASURES MONTHLY REPORT <br />A Report for the month of May, 1962 from the Department of heights <br />& Measures was accepted and placed on file. <br />Mr. Cichowicz, City Sealer, reported that every gasoline pump in the <br />City of South Bend has now been checked and tested for accuracy of delivery, <br />money computers checked, hoses and seals checked, etc. Another.100% <br />inspection will be completed this season with spot-checks thereafter. <br />Mr. Cichowicz also reported that he had invited the Indiana Association <br />of Inspectors of Weights & Measures to hold their 50th Annual Conference <br />in South Bend in April, 1963. This is in line with Mayor Bruggner's <br />desire to encourage conferences and conventions in South Bend as a <br />stimulus to the City's business. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting <br />was adjourned at 1Os30 A.M. <br />0 <br />Attest: Anthl ny/Jj.
