having agreed that the property was a health hazard , it was the. <br />decision of the Board to continue this hearing for a period of 30 <br />days, during which time the Sub -Standard Division will attempt to <br />locate Ms. Bingham. At the expiration of this period, if Mr. Bingham <br />has not made the necessary repairs after having been located, demolition <br />orders will proceed. <br />With reference to property owned by Mr. Blair and located at 502 29th <br />Street, Mr. Blair appeared before the Board and requested ddditional <br />time in which to make the necessary repairs, to bring°up'to`_standard.',,..., <br />After hearing Mi . Blair, the Board continued this hearing until May 14, <br />1962 in order that the repairs may be made, 75% must be complete by thisdate. <br />Mrs. Dan Cole, 506 29th Street, appeared before the Board and registered <br />a complaint against the property located at 502 29th Street. She contended <br />that the property was filled with debris and was a severe detriment to <br />the neighborhood. <br />After hearing Mrs. Cole, the Board directed Mr. Blair to clean up all <br />debris in the yard by April 23, 1962. Mr. Blair agreed to do so. <br />With reference to property owned by Mr. Isbell, located at 2130 W. <br />Washington, Mr. Grabarz reported that Mr. Isbell had granted permission <br />for demolishion of the property. <br />The Board directed that demolition orders be carried out. <br />Mr. Newbon, owner of property at 123 S. Iowa Street appeared before the <br />Board as directed by 'Mr. Grabars, who contended that Mr. Newbon had <br />been occupying this basement structure and that orders to bring property <br />up to standard had not been complied with and that trash on the property <br />had not been removed. <br />After hearing all who appeared concerning this, the Board directed that <br />on the submission of Mr. Newbon that this basement is not now being <br />occupied and, said Mr. Newbon further submits that it will be occupied <br />only after such time as it will meet Building Department Code standards <br />and that trash will be removed by April 23, 1962, the Board continued <br />this hearing until April 239 1962. <br />Mr. Jesse Grose appeared before the Board with reference to two houses <br />located at 106 and 1061 S. St. Louis Blvd. Mr. Grose was asked to show <br />cause as to why property had not been repaired as directed. <br />Mr. Grose informed that Board that he had made arrangements with Mr. <br />Fred Stowe to complete..repairs by .June 1;1962. <br />It was the decision of the Board that the hearing be continued until <br />June 4, 1962 and that :11r. Grose make arrangements with Mr. Stowe who <br />will purchase property with understanding that repairs must be made, <br />so that these repairs will start forthwith and that Mr. Grose will be <br />the responsible party concerning the repair order.
