2-2 <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEE_RFTRAFFIC SIGNS) <br />Following the recommendation of the Traffic Engineer, the following <br />installations were approved: <br />2 - Two H-)ur time limit signs installed at 814 S. Main Street <br />Stop Sign installed on Sorin St., northeast corner, at St. <br />Louis Blvd. <br />Yield Right -of -Way sign installed on Ardmore Trail, southeast <br />corner, at Kentucky St. <br />Stop'- Sign installed on Ardmore Trail, northwest corner, at <br />Kentucky St. <br />2 - One -Hour parking limit -'signs installed at 703 W. Calvert St. <br />2 - Two Hour time limit parking signs installed at 500 N. Notre <br />Dame Avenue, alongside of 908 Sorin St. <br />2 One Hour time limit signs in 800 block Arnold St., alongside <br />1201 W. Sample St. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT ( ADVERTISE FOR TRUCK <br />Njcholas Horvath, Superintendent of the Electrical Department requests <br />permission to have advertisements placed for the purchase of a 1962 <br />one-half Ton Truck. <br />Permission granted. Advertisements will be placed in The South Bend <br />Tribune and The Record on April 6, April 13. Bids will be opened on <br />April 19, 1962. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT ( INSTALLATIONS <br />Following the recommendation of the Electrical Department Superintendent, <br />the Board approved the following installations: <br />1 - 4000 lumen street light in the 900 Block East Indiana Ave. <br />1 - 4000 lumen street light at 1110 S. 35th St. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />POLI_CE DEPARTMENT ( ATTEND MEETING ) <br />Comes now Police Chief Harman and requests permission for Officers <br />Robert J. Urban and Henry Kruszewski to attend a -Traffic Conference <br />School at Purdue University from April 8 through April 15, 1962. <br />Permission granted. <br />SPECIAL POLICE COMMISSION <br />A Special Police Commission for Julius Yuhouse, an employee of the City <br />Sanitation Department was approved. Said Special Police Commission is <br />for use at the Landfill only. Mr. Yuhouse is assigned to work at the <br />Landfill by the Sanitation Department. <br />APPLICATION ( POLICE DEPARTMENT ) <br />An application for the Police Department from Commie Lee !dalls was <br />accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />RE UEST_ ACOUSTICON OVERMYER COMPANY ( USE OF FIRE STATIONS) <br />A request from Harry B. Overmyer, Manager of the Acousticon Overmyer <br />Company, informs the Board that the Acousticon International Hearing <br />Air Co., and its dealers through -out the country are sponsoring a <br />collection of used hearing aids to be re -conditioned by the Company <br />at no charge and delivered to the Project Hope, a floating medical <br />1 <br />I I M <br />
