z <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER ( TRAFFIC SIGNS) <br />Following the recommendation of Clem Hazinski, Traffic Engineer, the <br />following installations were approved: <br />Stop Sign on Iowa Street, & Ardmore, southeast corner, replaced <br />with a -Yield Roght-of-Way sign. <br />Loading Zone sign installed at 120 W. Colfax Ave. <br />Taxi Stand moved from 116-120 to 122-.124 W. Colfax Avenue. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT STREET LIGHTS <br />Following the recommendation of Nicholas Horvath, Superintendent of the <br />Electrical Department, the following installations were approved: <br />1 - 4000 <br />lumen <br />street <br />light <br />at <br />2513 W. <br />Fisher St. <br />1 - 4000 <br />lumen <br />street <br />light <br />at <br />433 S. <br />Phillipa St. <br />1 - 4000 <br />lumen <br />street <br />light <br />at <br />1215 S. <br />33rd St. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS_ <br />Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT ( SUB -STANDARD DIVISION - HEARINGS) <br />Comes now Verner Lane, Building Commissioner, and informs the Board that <br />property owned by Mrs. Lottie King and located at 234 E. Sample Street, <br />who was given 190 days to bring property up to standard had not complied <br />with this order. <br />Mrs. King appeared before the Board and requested a continuance in which <br />to acoomplish the necessary repairs which had not been made due to bad <br />weather and the fact that there is a prospective buyer for the property. <br />After hearing Mrs. King and Battalion Chief Downes it was.the decision <br />of the Board to continue this hearing until April 16, 1962, at which <br />time the property will either have been sold or contracts with contractors <br />to repair premises produced. <br />Battalion Chief bownes was directed to check this property periodically <br />to ascertain whether any work is being done, as requested by the Building <br />Department's Sub -Standard Division. <br />The alternative to the above orders will be to place advertisements for <br />bids to demolish. <br />With reference to property owned by Jesse and Alleen Franklin, located. <br />at1613 S. William Street, Mrs. Franklin appeared before the ;'Board and <br />requested a continuance of this hearing in order to complete repair orders <br />as stipulated by the Building Department's Sub -Standard Division. Mrs. <br />Franklin explained that repairs were being made as fast as money was <br />available. <br />After hearing Mrs. Franklin, it was the decision of the Board to continue <br />this hearing until July 1, 1962. Battalion Downes was directed by the <br />Board to make periodic checks on this property to ascertain whether work <br />was being done, as directed. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was <br />Adjourned at 10:45 A.M. a <br />Attest: Ant�ioky J.
