04 yoU TR 44, <br />�d <br />,F rL <br />U O <br />,� vucr y <br />1965 R <br />ADDENDUM No. 1 <br />NEWMAN CENTER: MASONRY REPAIR <br />PROJECT NUMBER 116-132 <br />JANUARY 5, 2017 <br />To: All holders of the contract documents for the above project. <br />The items in this addendum are to become a part of the original documents as if included therein. Only <br />the noted items are affected, and the remainder of the original contract documents is to remain in its <br />entirety. <br />This addendum modifies the contract documents as follows: <br />PART 1: CLARIFICATIONS <br />1.01 There is an intermediate completion date of April 14, 2017 for work required to be completed for <br />installation of roof (roof work is part of separate contract). These areas are marked on Sheet 2, <br />Detail 3 Roof Plan. The included area is revised to also include the south-east corner / east gable <br />area rebuild section; see Sheet 3, Detail 2 East Elevation. Also to be included within the <br />intermediate completion time is the removal and storing on site of all stone copings at east upper - <br />level portion of building. <br />1.02 Liquidated damages shall apply to both the intermediate completion date and the final completion <br />date. <br />1.03 Provide separate line item within the Contractor's Bid for tenting and heating. Unit shall be Days <br />and Quantity shall be 14. If more days are required, the established unit price shall be used as a <br />baseline. This line item is to be included within the total Base Bid. During construction, this <br />item shall be used only after receiving written approval by the Owner. The Owner's Inspector <br />shall verify installation and total use of Item before payment is provided. <br />1.04 Contractors may use acidic cleaners as necessary to remove mortar from fagade at restoration <br />areas. Test an inconspicuous area first to ensure no negative effects on brick. <br />1.05 Grey shaded area on Sheet 4, Detail 1 North Elevation below the barrel roof area should be <br />rebuilt. <br />Newman Center.
