MUTUAL AID AGREEMENTS - FIRE DEPARTMENT Form of Mutual Aid Agreement proposed to be entered into by and between the South Bend Fire Department and adjacent townships and towns, setting out in writing bid agreements heretofore verbal and informal, having been reviewed by the Legal Department and Fire Chief Cecil McHenry and found to be in order, the following Aid Agreements were approved by the Board; 1. City of South Bend - Harris Township 2. City of South Bend - Lakeville and Union Township 3. City of South Bend - Madison Township 4. City of South Bend - North Liberty Township 5. City of South Bend - Penn Township 6. City of South Bend - Town of New Carlisle (Olive Township) 7. City of South Bend .- Town of Osceola 1 n J STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS Street light outage reports for the period 2/28/68 to 3/8/68 were received and filed. POLICE DEPARTMENT SUSPENSION - EDWARD DECRAENE Officer Edward DeCraene appeared before the Board in person and by his attorney, F. Jay Nimtz, and having admitted to the charge specified in paragraph (a) of Count 1 of the charge of violating Regulation 4.18 of the General Rules and regulations of the Police Department of South Bend, to -wit: that "on February 27, 1968, he did conduct himself in a manner unbecoming a police officer," upon motion made, seconded and passed, it was the unanimous de- cision of the Board that he be suspended from the Police Department of the City of South Bend for a period of fifteen (15) days, without pay, from and including February 28, 1968, until March 13, 1968, at 10:30 P.M. POLICE DEPARTMENT SUSPENSION - JOSEPH MARKOVICH Officer Joseph Markovich appeared before the Board in person and by his attorney, F.°Jay Nimtz, and having admitted to the charge specified in paragraph (a) of Count I of the charge of violating Regulation 4.18 of the General Rules and Regulations of the Police Department of South Bend, to -wit, that "on February 27, 1968, he did conduct himself in a manner unbecoming a police officer," it was., on motion duly made, seconded and passed, the unanirpous' decision of the Board that he be suspended from the Police Department of the City of South Bend for a period of fifteen (15) days, without pay, from and including February 28, 1968, until,,_MRrch 13,- 19 at 10:30 P.M.
