MUTUAL AID AGREEMENTS - FIRE <br />DEPARTMENT <br />Form of Mutual Aid Agreement <br />proposed to <br />be entered into by and between the <br />South Bend Fire Department and adjacent <br />townships and towns, setting out in <br />writing bid agreements heretofore verbal <br />and informal, having been reviewed <br />by the Legal Department and Fire Chief Cecil <br />McHenry and found to be in order, <br />the following Aid Agreements <br />were approved by the Board; <br />1. City of <br />South Bend <br />.- Town of Osceola <br />1 <br />n <br />J <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street light outage reports for the period 2/28/68 to 3/8/68 were received <br />and filed. <br />There being no further business, the meeting of the Board of Safety recessed <br />until 4:00 P.M. 3/11/68. /� 1---1 r 711 <br />ATTE) <br />Clerk <br />The meeting of the Board of Safety reconvened at 4:00 P.M. on March 11, 1968, <br />with all members present. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT SUSPENSION - EDWARD DECRAENE <br />Officer Edward DeCraene appeared before the Board in person and by his attorney, <br />F. Jay Nimtz, and having admitted to the charge specified in paragraph (a) <br />of Count 1 of the charge of violating Regulation 4.18 of the General Rules <br />and regulations of the Police Department of South Bend, to -wit: that "on <br />February 27, 1968, he did conduct himself in a manner unbecoming a police <br />officer," upon motion made, seconded and passed, it was the unanimous de- <br />cision of the Board that he be suspended from the Police Department of the <br />City of South Bend for a period of fifteen (15) days, without pay, from and <br />including February 28, 1968, until March 13, 1968, at 10:30 P.M. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT SUSPENSION - JOSEPH MARKOVICH <br />Officer Joseph Markovich appeared before the Board in person and by his attorney, <br />F.°Jay Nimtz, and having admitted to the charge specified in paragraph (a) <br />of Count I of the charge of violating Regulation 4.18 of the General Rules and <br />Regulations of the Police Department of South Bend, to -wit, that "on <br />February 27, 1968, he did conduct himself in a manner unbecoming a police <br />officer," it was., on motion duly made, seconded and passed, the unanirpous' <br />decision of the Board that he be suspended from the Police Department of the <br />City of South Bend for a period of fifteen (15) days, without pay, from and <br />including February 28, 1968, until,,_MRrch 13,- 19 at 10:30 P.M. <br />There being no further business, the meeting d•jo rned at 4�J5 P.M. <br />r W.
