148 <br />January 31, 1966 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Safety was held on Monday, <br />January 31, 1966 at 10:00 A.M. All members were present. Minutes of the <br />last regular meeting were read and approved. Vouchers were approved and <br />ordered paid to the various suppliers. <br />HEALTH DEPARTMENT REPORT: RESTAURANT LICENSES <br />A letter from the Health Department containing the names of the _56 <br />restaurants that have not as yet procured restaurant licenses for 1966 <br />was submitted to the Board. <br />Since this is the last day to obtain such licenses, the City Controller <br />suggested that the list be turned over to him and, at the end of this <br />day, those who have not obtained licenses for 1966 will be listed and <br />said list be submitted to the City Attorney for legal action. <br />This )procedure was approved by the Board. <br />AGREEMENT: PORTAGE TOWNSHIP FIRE PROTECTION- <br />An Agreement between the City of South Bend and Portage Township for <br />fire protection for the year 1966 was executed by the Board and ordered <br />placed on file. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT: RESIGNATION ( OFFICER R. WILSON ) <br />Officer Richard K. Wilson, having this date tendered his resignation from <br />the South Bend Police Department for the reason that he has employment <br />elsewhere, said resignation is accepted by the Board, effective January <br />24, 1966. <br />SPECIAL POLICE CCINISSIONS AND BOND ( BENDIX CORPORATION <br />A blanket Special Police Bond effective from January 1, 1966 to December <br />31, 1968, and Special Police Commissions for guards employed by Bendix <br />Corporation were approved and ordered placed on file: <br />Following is a list of Special Police presently employed by Bendix <br />Corporation: <br />E. 0.
