Mr. Liszewski advised the Board that bids were to have been opened on <br />this date with reference to demolition of property located at 802 Sherman <br />Avenue, but that the owner, Joseph Cherbo,is now repairing the property. <br />A request that the bids be held in abeyance was granted by the Board. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT: ATTEND CONFERENCE FIRE CHIEF MCHENRY ) <br />Permission was granted Fire Chief McHenry to attend the annual I.A.F.Cts <br />92nd Annual Conference in Miami, Florida from October 18 to October <br />21, 1965. <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT: PROBATION REPORT ( J. BECKER ) <br />Fire Chief McHenry reported to the Board that Fireman John Becker has <br />now completed his six months probation period and that he has been found <br />to be comprehending in his knowledge of fire fighting and equipment; <br />that he has fine mental and physical qualities,;. <br />In view of these facts, Chief McHenry recommended that Fireman John Becker <br />be accepted for permanent membership on the South Bend Fire Department. <br />Following this recommendation, the request was approved by the Board. <br />CITY CO' OL R• REPOR SIGNUIZATION OF MYNI AT DONMOYER & IRVINGTOH <br />The City Controller submitted a report with reference to the signalization <br />of Miami at Donmoyer and Irvington. <br />This matter was referred to the City Controller by the Board on August 9, <br />1965. <br />The report was accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT: REPORT - STREET LIGHTS ( HARTMAN BUILDERS ) <br />A Report from the Electrical Department concerning a request for street <br />lights submitted by Hartman Builders was submitted to the Board and <br />taken under study. <br />STREET 'LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />SPECIAL PONCE BOND <br />A Special Police Bond for Russell Jester, employed by the LaSalle Hotel, <br />was approved and ordered placed on file. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT: MONTHLY REPORT <br />A Report for the month of September, 1965 from the Building Department <br />was accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board) the meeting <br />was adjourned at 11*10 A.M. <br />
