Mr. Liszewski advised the Board that with reference to property located <br />at 625 Keasey Street, owned by Alex and Helen Niedbalski, no bids for <br />demolition had been received. West, District Manager, Indiana & Michigan <br />Electric Company,.was submitted to the Board by the City Engineer.. <br />The letter accompanied a new proposal for the installation of <br />additional street lights on Mishawaka Avenue from Greenlawn to 20th <br />Street. This proposal replaces the proposal of September 3, 1965 <br />which may now be disregarded. <br />The revised proposal calls for an additional S - 21,000 lumen mercury <br />vapor units on steel poles, with overhead wiring, which will be similar <br />to the units previously approved by the Board for that portion of <br />Mishawaka Avenue west of Greenlawn. <br />L <br />The contract price for the 8 - 21,000 lumen mercury vapor lights ($6.65 <br />each) would total $53.20 per month. The net increase in cost to the <br />City of South Bend will total $40.40 per month. <br />After due examination, the Board approved the new proposal and directed <br />that copy of the proposal be returned to Mr. West for his records. <br />TRACCIC DIRECTOR: TRAFFIC SIGN INSTALLATIONS <br />Following the recommendation of Clem Hazinski, Traffic Director, the <br />following installations were approved: <br />1. "Two'Hour Time Limit" signs in front of 3916 W. Sample Street. <br />2. Replace "Yield" sign at Oak Park & Rosemary wich "Stop" signs. <br />Install "Stop Ahead" signs. <br />3. "Stop"Signs at Allen, Humboldt and Portage. <br />4. "No Parking This Side of Street" signs on south side of Ruskin St. <br />from Oakland to Esther. <br />5. Extend Time Limit Parking zone on south side of 200 E. Sample so <br />that 204, 206 & 208 are covered. Also, "One Hour" Limit to "Two <br />Hour Limit." <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT: APPLICATIONS <br />The following applications for the Police Department were accepted and <br />ordered placed on file: Lloyd D. Imus, Jr. and John A. Kolat. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting <br />was adjourned at 11:05 A.M. <br />airman <br />1 <br />
