Changed Yield sign on NW corner of Jackson & York to Stop signs. <br />Also installed a "Stop Ahead" sign 1 block north of Jackson. <br />6. "No Parking" signs & posts on north side of 1800 Mishawaka Ave. <br />7. "No Parking" signs w/arrows on 800 Greenlawn north of Mishawaka. <br />PROPOSED STREET LIGHTING LAYOUT - MISHAWAKA AVENUE - I & M ELECTRIC <br />CO. <br />The Board approved the proposed street lighting layout for Mishawaka <br />Avenue from the installation at the Sample Street bridge approach <br />from the west to Esther Street on the East. <br />The Mtter of Proposal and attached print was ordered placed on file. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARTMENT: INSTALLATION OF STREET LIGIM <br />Following the recommendation of the Electrical Department Superintendent, <br />Eugene E. Radecki, the Board approved the following street light <br />installations <br />1. 4000 lumen street light mid -block on Notre Dame Avenue at alley <br />on Pole J259-640 between Colfax & Washington Sts. <br />2. 4000 lumen street light at north end of Sussex Drive. Also <br />a 4000 lumen street light at south end of the street. <br />3. 4000 lumen street light at northwest corner of 813 N. Harrison. <br />ELECTRICAL DEPARn ENT: REQUESTS FOR STREET LIGHTS DENIED <br />Following the recommendation of Eugene Radecki, Electrical Department <br />Superintendent, the following requests for street lights were denied <br />by the Board: <br />1. Request for light at alley of 813 S. Kosciusko Street denied. <br />Light presently installed will be::.moued to southeast corner <br />to avoid a tree problem. <br />2. Request for light at alley in rear of 1822 S, Pulaski Street <br />between Dubail and Calvert Streets denied for the reason that <br />the Electrical Department has not been authorized to recommend <br />installation of street lights in alleys. Situation can be <br />solved by property owner having Indiana & Michigan Electric <br />Company install light at owner's expense of about $4.00 a <br />month. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file. <br />SUB -STANDARD DIVISION i DEMOLITION OF BUILDING - LOTTIE KING ) <br />Whereas bn May 10, 1965, the City of South Bend entered into a <br />contract with the A & J Demolition Company under the power and <br />authority granted by the Sub -Standard Building Ordinance for the <br />demolition of the building at 234 E. Sample Street and thereafter <br />said contractor having begun the undertaking and the owner ofthe <br />premises prior to the completion of said contract, assumed the obliga-; �. <br />tion personally and removed the building at her expense, said contract <br />with A & J Demolition Company being in the amount of $675.001, the <br />Board of Public Safety now agrees to honor the claim of A & J <br />Demolition Company of $55.00 rather than in the amount of $675.00 <br />and the City Attorney is instructed to proceed to make every effort, <br />to collect the $55.00 from the property owner. <br />
