Net Price $1,350.00 <br />Bid Bond for 10% of the Bid, signed by Van E. Gates, Pres. <br />Non -Collusion Affidavit, signed by Van E. Gates, Pres, <br />AWARDING BID: POLICE DEPARTMENT SEDAN CONTRACT N0, 27-65 <br />It appearing that the bid of Gates Chevrolet Corporation is the lowest <br />and best bid, and said bid having been examined by the Board and the <br />Police Chief and found to meet specifications, it is now so awarded <br />to Gates Chevrolet Corporation. <br />REQUEST: TRANSFER OF FUNDS ( CWMICATIONS DIVISION, POLICE DEPT ) <br />A request from John V. Hunt, Supervis6r of the Communications Department, <br />to transfer certain funds in the department's budget was submitted to <br />the Board. This is necessary to meet needs for balance of 1965. <br />After examination of the request, the Board approved the transfer and <br />copy of said request was ordered sent to the City Controller. <br />PONCE DEPARTMENT: MILITARY LEAVE ( M. 0. MARTZ <br />The Board approved military leave for Officer Marvin 0. Martz from <br />August 15 to August 30, 1965. Officer Martz will attend annual Field <br />Training at Little Creek, Virginia with the Marine Corps Reserves. <br />BONDS: SPECIAL POLICE ( LOCAL #5 U A.W - STUDEBAKER ) <br />The Board approved Special Police Bonds for the following employees of <br />Local 115, U.A.W.: Walter L. Hill and Hubert VanGoeye. <br />Since these employees act as guards at the Union Hall, no Commissions <br />are required, according to Police Chief Hampton, <br />APPLICATIONS: POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />The following applications for the Police Department were accepted and <br />ordered placed on file: Ronald Lee Sharp and Frederick Louis <br />Luczkowski. <br />TRAFFIC DIRECTOR REPORT: PETITION FOR STOP SIGNS ( FORD & MEADE ) <br />A report from Clem Hazinski, Traffic Director, with reference to a <br />request for a 4-way stop sign or signs at Ford and Meade Streets was <br />submitted to the Board. <br />After study, Mr. Hazinski reported that the intersection of Ford and <br />Meade does not meet the warrants as stated in the Manual on Uniform <br />Traffic Control devices and recommends that the request be denied. <br />Following this recommendation as the result of the survey and study, <br />the petition was denied. <br />TRAFFIC DIRECTOR: TRAFFIC SIGN INSTALLATIONS <br />The Board approved the following installations: <br />1. 1115 Minute Time Limit" zone on east side of Longfellow north of <br />Mishawaka Avenue. <br />2. Replaced the "One Hour Parking" signs at 1315 * 1319 Mishawaka Avenue <br />with 1115 Minute Parking w/Arrows". <br />3 Replaced the 2 "One Hour Parking" signs covering 1331-1333-1335 <br />Mishawaka Avenue and adjacent parking lot with "30 Minute Parking <br />w/Arrows." <br />4. Replaced Yield signs on Washington at Frances w/stop signs. <br />
