Net Price $1,350.00 Bid Bond for 10% of the Bid, signed by Van E. Gates, Pres. Non -Collusion Affidavit, signed by Van E. Gates, Pres, AWARDING BID: POLICE DEPARTMENT SEDAN CONTRACT N0, 27-65 It appearing that the bid of Gates Chevrolet Corporation is the lowest and best bid, and said bid having been examined by the Board and the Police Chief and found to meet specifications, it is now so awarded to Gates Chevrolet Corporation. REQUEST: TRANSFER OF FUNDS ( CWMICATIONS DIVISION, POLICE DEPT ) A request from John V. Hunt, Supervis6r of the Communications Department, to transfer certain funds in the department's budget was submitted to the Board. This is necessary to meet needs for balance of 1965. After examination of the request, the Board approved the transfer and copy of said request was ordered sent to the City Controller. PONCE DEPARTMENT: MILITARY LEAVE ( M. 0. MARTZ The Board approved military leave for Officer Marvin 0. Martz from August 15 to August 30, 1965. Officer Martz will attend annual Field Training at Little Creek, Virginia with the Marine Corps Reserves. BONDS: SPECIAL POLICE ( LOCAL #5 U A.W - STUDEBAKER ) The Board approved Special Police Bonds for the following employees of Local 115, U.A.W.: Walter L. Hill and Hubert VanGoeye. Since these employees act as guards at the Union Hall, no Commissions are required, according to Police Chief Hampton, APPLICATIONS: POLICE DEPARTMENT The following applications for the Police Department were accepted and ordered placed on file: Ronald Lee Sharp and Frederick Louis Luczkowski. TRAFFIC DIRECTOR REPORT: PETITION FOR STOP SIGNS ( FORD & MEADE ) A report from Clem Hazinski, Traffic Director, with reference to a request for a 4-way stop sign or signs at Ford and Meade Streets was submitted to the Board. After study, Mr. Hazinski reported that the intersection of Ford and Meade does not meet the warrants as stated in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control devices and recommends that the request be denied. Following this recommendation as the result of the survey and study, the petition was denied. TRAFFIC DIRECTOR: TRAFFIC SIGN INSTALLATIONS The Board approved the following installations: 1. 1115 Minute Time Limit" zone on east side of Longfellow north of Mishawaka Avenue. 2. Replaced the "One Hour Parking" signs at 1315 * 1319 Mishawaka Avenue with 1115 Minute Parking w/Arrows". 3 Replaced the 2 "One Hour Parking" signs covering 1331-1333-1335 Mishawaka Avenue and adjacent parking lot with "30 Minute Parking w/Arrows." 4. Replaced Yield signs on Washington at Frances w/stop signs.
