APPLICATION: FIRE DEPARTMIFENT An application for the Fire Department from William -Edward. Thomas of 23356 Reo Avenue was submitted to the Board. The application was rejected due to the fact that Mr. Thomas is not a resident of the City of South Bend. TRAFFIC ENGINEER. . INSTALL ATE" ONS Following the recorimendation of the Traffic Engineer, the following installations were approved: Extend present yellow zone on north side of the 1300 block Zjl! Washington Street by 24 feet. (St. Vincent DePaul drop box). Advertisements will be placed in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri--Co-Lmty News on April 16, April 23, 1965. Sealed bids will be opened on April 26, 1965 at 10:00 A.M. in the office of the Board. ELECTRICAL DEPART1JENT INSTALLATION - STREET LIGHT Eugene Radecki, Electrical Department Superintendent submitted a report with reference to a Petition from residents on N. College Street for a street light on College between hvtarquette and Hamilton Streets. The residents did not Srant an instwood on a ood pole since they contended it would spoil the appearence of their property which is presently illuminated by boulevard type lights. Mr. Radecki reported to the Board that the Indiana ez.?riichigan Electric CompmV has now installed a new underground type 4000 lumen on a boulevard pole. The cost per month vri11 be the same as a vrood pole 4000 lumen, The Board, after -reviewing the report, approved the installation. STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed on file.
