MCI <br />REPORTS: TRAFFIC DIRECTOR SIGNALS AT MISHAWAKA & LOGAN - TR. SIGN AT <br />CQ9_A_X & SCOTT-TAYLOR <br />Clem Hazinski, Traffic Director, submitted his recommendations and reports <br />on the following requests that had been referred to him for investigation <br />and recommendation: <br />1. Request from Councilman Szymkowiak for a traffic (stop) sign on Colfax <br />at Scott Street and Taylor Street for the greater safety of school <br />children crossing at these intersections was investigated by Hazinski <br />'uho reported that installation of additional stop signs are not warranted <br />at this locationP and that these installations would cause rear end <br />collisions on Colfax Avenue. <br />The line of visibility will be increased at each intersection and signs <br />cautioning motorists of the presenceofchildren will also be made. <br />2. Request of Ijb% C. Duewaine Hawblitzel that the visibility of the <br />signal at Mishawaka Avenue and Logan Street be improved was investigated <br />by, Ur. Hazinski who reported that the condition has now been corrected. <br />The signal case sections at thesouthirtiest corner of the intersection has <br />been ordered replaced with a newer type with longer visors over the lenses <br />to further increase visibility. This work i1rill be completed this week. <br />The Board, having studied the reports submitted by Mr. Hazinski, approved <br />the solutions to the above problems as recommended by Mir. Hazinski. <br />STREET LIM OUTAGE, REPORTS <br />Street Light Outage Reports were accepted and ordered placed an file. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting <br />was adjourned at 10:50 A.M. <br />Atest: Ri&iar�/'.
