Bid Bond for $180.00 signed by Hubert Stults Fleet.Mgr. <br />Non -Collusion Affidavit, signed by H. &' Greet"'_' <br />GO <br />The bids will be taken under advisement and will be awarded on February <br />S, 1965. <br />APPROVAL OF POLICE DEPARTMENT MANUAL <br />The South Bend Police Department, through its Chief, having submitted <br />to the Board a copy of the Departmental Manual, including the Rules and <br />Regulations of the Police Department, and same having been examined, it <br />is now approved by this Board, the the Police Chief is requested to <br />submit a copy of said Manual to the Office of the Board of Public Works <br />Safety to be placed on file in this office. <br />SPECIAL POLICE C94, SSION RENEWAL & BOND GAM"vtAGE <br />The Board approved a renewal of a Special Police Commission and a <br />Continuation Certificate -for Robert Gammage, Special Police employed <br />by the Knights of Pythias. <br />APPROVAL* SPECIAL POLICE BOND ( SCHUBERT ) <br />A Special Police Bond for Lee Schubert was submitted to the Board, approved <br />and ordered placed on file. Special Police Commission was approved by <br />the Board an January 25, 1965. <br />APPROVAL: RENEWAL OF SPECIAL POLICE BOND TORRINGTON - GRAYZjK ) <br />The Board approved the renewal of a Special Police Bond for Stanley V. <br />Grayzek, employee of Torrington Company and ordered same placed on file. <br />PETITION: REMOVAL OF FIRE STATION NO._6 <br />The following appeared before the Board to remonstrate the proposed removal <br />of Fire Stationjo. 6: Councilman Geib, Messrs. N. B. Mumford and Welsheimer. <br />Councilman Geib submitted Petitions signed by interested residents in the <br />area and Mr. Mumford also spoke concerning the feelings of the residents in <br />the vicinity. <br />The consensus of opinion is that the closing of Fire Station No. 6 will <br />leave the area without sufficient fire protection. <br />After hearing all who wished to be heard and after accepting the Petitions <br />concerning the proposed removal of this Fire Station, Mr. DuComb advised <br />the remonstrators; inihe name of the Board, that the proposal of the removal <br />of this Fire Station was not to be accomplished in the near future and that <br />adequate fire protect on would be given to the area in the event No. 6 station <br />was closed. <br />
