<br />Clerk was directed to give notice of such hearing by publication in the
<br />South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on January 23, January 30 and

<br />REQUEST TO PARK VEHICLE IN FRONT OF MORRIS CIVIC.AUDITORIUM 1/16/70
<br />The request of Richard H. Damon on behalf of Child Evangelism Fellowship
<br />Of St, Joseph County, 903 E. Calvert Street, South Bend, Indiana, on
<br />January 14, 1970, for permission to park a 24 foot vehicle in front of the
<br />Morris Civic Auditorium on January 16, 1970, between the hours of 7:00 P.M.
<br />and 10:00 P.M., during a performance in the Morris Civic Auditorium, was
<br />approved by the Board on January 15, 1970, on condition that the vehicle
<br />be movable and that it remain parked at this location only before and after
<br />the performance, and is made of record in these minutes.

<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the recommendation
<br />of Street Commissioner R. B. Gartner for the award of contract for one
<br />utility body for a 10,000 GVW truck 84" C.A. (Item A, Miscellaneous Equip-
<br />ment bids received December 29, 1969) to Stanley'Enterprises, Inc.,on its
<br />bid of $1,357.00 instead of to Fruehauf Corporation on its bid of $1,215.00,
<br />based on a delivery date by Stanley Enterprises of three weeks as compared
<br />to 90 to 120 days delivery by Fruehauf Corporation and need for the earliest
<br />possible delivery.
<br />1970 LEASE FOR FIRE STATION #6 - SOUTH BEND CIVIC THEATRE, INC.
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the execution of a
<br />lease with the South Bend Theatre Inc., for Fire Station #6, 701 Portage
<br />Avenue, for 1970 and thereafter upon renewal.
<br />PETITION TO IMPROVE BEALE STREET (SANITARY SEWER) JOHN RICHARDS
<br />A petition for the improvement of Beale Street, from Cushing to Riverside
<br />Drive, by constructing a sanitary sewer, according to Barrett Law, was filed
<br />with the Board by John Richards and four others, and referred to the City
<br />Engineer for study and recommendation.
<br />REQUEST TO OPERATE PARKING LOT - VERA HANS (YELLOW DOT PARKING LOTS)
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request of
<br />Mrs. Vera Hans, 312 Rue Rabelais, Apt. 609, South Bend, Indiana, for the
<br />Yellow Dot Parking Lots to operate a parking lot at 228 S. Carroll Street,
<br />said lot having a capacity of 33 cars.
<br />REQUEST FOR SEWER SERVICE - PORTAGE REALTY CORPORATION
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request of Portage Realty Corpora-
<br />tion, 129 Dixie Way South, South Bend, Indiana, for sewer service to its
<br />apartment complex at a site on the east side of Rosemary Lane, commencing 212
<br />feet north of the center of Edison Road north 449 feet, was referred to the
<br />City Engineer for review and recommendation.
<br />CERTIFICATE OF GENERAL INSURANCE - MORSE ELECTRIC CO. INC. - MUNICIPAL
<br />PARKING STRUCTURES
<br />Certificate of general insurance on behalf of Morse Electric Company, Inc.,
<br />to 1/l/72 covering parking structures at the corner of St. Joseph and Michigan
<br />Streets and at the corner of Main and Colfax were approved by the Board and
<br />ordered filed.
