12/15/69 <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB -STANDARDS DIVISION <br />J. W. Adamson, Sub -Standards Director, appeared before the Board and the <br />following matters were discussed: <br />735 W. Jefferson. Mr. Adamson reported the occupants of these premises <br />have now been relocated and demolition can now proceed. <br />125 N. Adams Street. Letter of Harvey Bryant, demolition contractgr, to <br />the effect that he will be willing to wait 60 days to demolish the <br />structure at this address under contract awarded for demolition of the <br />premises on November 24, 1969, was noted and ordered filed. <br />COMPLAINT OF NEIGHBORS - PROPERTY AT 1041 LASALLE COURT <br />A complaint signed by seven residents in the 1000 block of LaSalle Court <br />regarding the deteriorated condition of the property at 1041 LaSalle Court <br />was referred to the Sub -Standards Department for investigation and report <br />to the Board. <br />HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3266, 1968 - SANCOME <br />AVENUE <br />Hearing on the assessment roll for the improvement of Sancome Avenue, from <br />LaPorte Avenue to Lincolnway West by constructing a Class C pavement, Type <br />IV, having been continued from November 24, 1969, was held as readvertised. <br />The Clerk tendered proofs of publication which were found to be proper. <br />The assessment roll appearing to be correct and no one further appearing <br />either for or against said assessment roll;`upon motion made, seconded and <br />unanimously carried the assessment roll was approved as presented and the <br />Resolution adopted by the Board on September 3, 1968, was in all things con- <br />firmed. <br />ASSESSMENT ROLL FILED - VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3301 - E. J. BARANY <br />Lloyd S. Taylor, City Engineer, files assessment roll showing the award of <br />damages and assessment of benefits in Vacation Resolution No. 3301, being <br />for the vacation of: <br />the first north -south alley west of Main Street, running <br />from the south line of Indiana.Avenue south to the south <br />line of the first east -west alley south of Indiana Avenue. <br />Also, the first east -west alley south of Indiana Avenue, <br />running from the west line of Main Street west to the east <br />line of the above mentioned north -south alley. <br />Reserving the rights and easements of all utilities and <br />the Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana, to construct <br />and maintain any facilities, including, but not limited to, <br />the following: electric, telephone, gas, water, sewer, <br />surface water control structures and ditches within the <br />vacated right of way, unless such rights are released by <br />the individual utilities. <br />Total net -damages - $00.00 <br />Total net benefits - $00.00 <br />The following property may be injuriously or beneficially <br />affected by such vacation: <br />Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 of J.P. Creed's 2nd Addition and <br />the right of way of the Penn Central Railroad. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board adopted said assessment <br />roll and set 9:30 A.M. on January 12, 1970, as the date for hearing all <br />persons interested in or affected by said vacation. And the Clerk was <br />directed to give notice of such hearing by publication in the South Bend <br />Tribune and the Tri County News on December 19, December 26, 1969 and <br />January 2, 1970. <br />1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />
