<br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety convened at 9:30
<br />A.M. on December 8, 1969, with all members present.. The minutes of the
<br />previous meeting were reviewed and approved.
<br />OPEN BIDS FOR FJ-RE DEPARTMENT EQUIPMENT
<br />This being the date set for receiving bids for the following:
<br />Custom built motorized 100 foot aerial (tractor drawn);
<br />custom built motorized 1500 gal. pumping fire engine
<br />(to include one articulating boom water tower squirt or equal;
<br />custom built motorized 1500 gal, pumping fire engine,
<br />the clerk tendered proofs of publication in the South Bend Tribune and the
<br />Tri County News on October 31 and November 7, 1969, which were read and found
<br />to be proper. The following bids were received:
<br />Mack Trucks, Inc., through Mishiana Mack, Inc., 916 E. McKinley Avenue,
<br />Mishawaka, Indiana. Non collusion affidavit was found to be proper. The
<br />bid was accompanied by a certified check in the amount of $5000.00. Bid
<br />was as follows:
<br />1 Mack CF 611F (15) 1500 G.P.M. triple combination
<br />r-4 pumper powered by Mack EMDTF 673C 283 N.P. Diesel

<br />affidavit and bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid were found to be
<br />proper. Bid was as follows:
<br />1 Seagrave Model PT20756 tractor drawn trailer with
<br />100' aerial ladder.- Powered by GM Detroit Diesel
<br />Model 6-71-N, 2 cycle Diesel engine. Complete as
<br />specified and delivered to South Bend via drive -
<br />away with services of a factory trained delivery

<br />Delivery 14 to 16 months. 1% cash discount for
