West, Building Commissioner, <br />for a variance from the building code to permit the erection on its property <br />at 1217 S. Walnut Street of two mobile trailer units, to be used for temporary <br />office space for a period of not to exceed two years, was presented to the <br />Board. The motion was made, seconded and unanimously carried to approve the <br />request for a period of not to exceed 12 months, with a possible extension of <br />an additional 12 months. <br />LEASE - MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM <br />Copy of lease of Morris Civic Auditorium with the South Bend Symphony for the <br />performance of James Oliver Buswell IV, violinist November 30, 1969, was <br />reviewed and ordered filed. <br />REQUEST FOR REDUCTION OF PERFORMANCE BOND - SOUTHEAST ESTATES, SECTION ONE <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request of Portage Realty Corpora- <br />tion for a reduction of performance bond for Southeast Estates, Section One, <br />was referred to the Engineering Department. <br />TRAFFIC REGULATION - YORK AND KERN ROADS - APPROVED <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />recommendation of the Traffic Engineer to install a "Yield" sign and post on <br />the northwest corner of York at Kern Road <br />TRAFFIC REGULATION - 32ND STREET AT JEFFERSON BOULEVARD - APPROVED <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />recommendation of the Traffic Engineer to replace a "Yield" sign with a <br />"Stop" sign on 32nd Street at Jefferson Boulevard. <br />EXCAVATION BOND <br />Certificate continuing excavation bond on behalf of Parkway Asphalt, Inc., <br />was approved by the Board and ordered filed. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street light outage reports for the period 11/22/69 to 11/25/69 were ordered <br />filed. <br />REQUEST FOR LIMITED PARKING - 400 BLOCK N. MAIN STREET <br />Request of the Auto'License Bureau to limit parking on the west side of the 400 <br />block of N. Main Street to 30 minutes was.referred back to the Traffic Engineer- <br />ing Department for consideration of a one hour limit. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meetin ad'ourned <br />at 1 1 : 30 A.
