<br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety convened at 9:30
<br />A.M., on December 1, 1969, with all members present. The minutes of the
<br />previous meeting were reviewed and approved.
<br />TAXICAB DRIVER'S LICENSE ISSUED - JOSEPH THOMAS TAYLOR
<br />Being duly advised, upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the
<br />Board approved the issuance of a taxicab driver's license to Joseph Thomas
<br />Taylor as of December 1, 1969.
<br />OPEN BIDS FOR MOTOR EQUIPMENT
<br />This being the date set for receiving bids for the following motor equipment:
<br />Group 1 28 - 4-door Sedans - Police Department
<br />Group 11 15 2-door or 4-door Sedans - Police Department
<br />Group 111 4 - 4-door Station Wagons - Police Department
<br />Group IV 5 - 4-door Sedans - Police Department
<br />Group V 1 - 4-door Sedan - Building Department
<br />Group VI 3 - 2-door or 4-door - Building Department
<br />Group VII 3 - 2-door or 4-door - Water Works
<br />Group Vill 3 - 4-door Sedans - Fire Department
<br />Group IX 1 - 4-door Station Wagon - Redevelopment Department
<br />U Group X I - 4-door Sedan - Engineering Department
<br />Group XI I ---4-door Sedan - Water Works
<br />the clerk tendered proofs of publication in the South Bend Tribune and the
<br />Tri County News on October 24 and October 31, 1969, which were read and
<br />found to be proper. The following bids were received:
<br />Gates Chevrolet Corporation, 333 Western Avenue, South Bend, Indiana. Non
<br />collusion affidavit and bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid were found
<br />to be proper. The bid was as follows:
