10/20/69 <br />SSMENT ROLL FILED - IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3287 (AMENDED) - <br />T BOULEVARD <br />Clyde E. Williams and Associates, Inc., consulting engineers, file with the <br />Board certificate of completion of the paving of ?fast:7.Bmu1eyafd1rom Johnson <br />Street, by constructing a Class C, Type IV pavement in accordance with the <br />plans and specifications therefor. <br />And the City Engineer files with the Board an assessment roll, with bhe names <br />of the owners and a description of the property subject to be assessed, with <br />the amount of the prima facie assessment in the total sum of $9,391.65. <br />And the Board adopts a resolution accepting said assessment roll, and sets <br />9:30 A.M., on November 10, 1969, as the time for hearing remonstrances and <br />when the owners of such real estate may attend in person or by representative <br />and be heard. <br />And the Clerk is directed to give notice of such hearing by publication in the <br />South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on October 24 and October 31, 1969. <br />REQUEST FOR PERMISSION TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR MOTOR VEHICLES <br />The request of the City Engineer to advertise for bids for motor vehicles as <br />follows: <br />Group <br />I - <br />28 <br />4-door <br />sedans for Police Department. <br />Group <br />II - <br />15 <br />2-door <br />or 4-door sedans for Police Department. <br />Group <br />III - <br />4 <br />:4-door <br />station wagons for Police Department. <br />Group <br />IV - <br />4 <br />4-door <br />sedans <br />Group <br />V - <br />1 <br />4-door <br />sedan for Building Department. <br />Group <br />VI - <br />3 <br />2-door <br />or 4-door sedans for Building Department. <br />Group <br />VII - <br />3 <br />2-door <br />or 4-door sedans for Water Works <br />Group <br />Vill - <br />3 <br />4-door <br />sedans for Fire Department <br />Group <br />IX - <br />1 <br />4-door <br />station wagon for Department of Redevelopment <br />Group <br />X - <br />1 <br />4-door <br />sedan for Engineering Department <br />Group <br />XI - <br />1 <br />4-door <br />sedan for Water Works <br />was approved, and the Clerk was directed to advertise by publication in the <br />South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News on October 24 and October 31, 1969. <br />TOPSFIELD DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION - PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS APPROVED <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved plans <br />for Division A, street construction, and Division B, sanitary and storm sewer <br />construction, for Topsfield Third Addition. <br />LEASES - MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM <br />Copy of lease of Bethel College Music Lecture Series for the United States <br />Marine Band on October 11, 1969, and copy of lease with "Up With People," Inc., <br />for Up With People Music on October 15, 1969, were reviewed and ordered filed. <br />REQUEST TO ATTEND INSPECTORS' MEETING - WEIGHTS & MEASURES DEPARTMENT <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the re- <br />quest of Bert Cichowicz, City Sealer, to attend the 32nd annual fall meeting <br />of the Indiana Association of Inspectors of Weights and Measures at Richmond, <br />Indiana, October 22, 23 and 243, 1969. <br />FOUR-WAY STOP APPROVED - FORD AND SHERIDAN <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department to install a four-way <br />stop at Ford and Sheridan Streets. <br />STREET LIGHTING APPROVED - AREA OF WESTERN, OLIVE, FORE & KALEY <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department for street lighting in <br />the area of Western, Olive, Ford and Kaley Streets, as follows: <br />Replace 11 4000L INC OH WP with 7000L MV OH WP <br />Install - 11 OOOL MV OH WP <br />Remove - 5 4000L INC OH WP <br />at a cost to the City of $38.15 per month. <br />
