10/20/69 <br />1t <br />1815 W. Ford. Lola Zeak, owner of this property, appeared before the Board <br />as requested. Mrs. Zeak stated this property is now secured and that they <br />are painting the building. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, <br />the matter was continued one week. <br />1219-1221 S. Lafayette Street. Chester Spychalski, 629 E. Fairview Street, <br />owner of this property, appeared before the Board as requested. He stated <br />he is willing to have the property demolished but does not have the money <br />to do it himself. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, <br />Sub -Standards Director was granted permission to advertise for bids for <br />demolition of the structure at 1219-1221 S. Lafayette Street. <br />1209 S. Lafayette. Alexander T. Terlecki, owner of this property, appeared <br />before the Board as requested, and stated that he intends to fix up the build- <br />ing and dlean up the premises and that he intends to start working on it this <br />week. Upon motion made] seconded and unanimously carried, the matter was con- <br />tinued 30 days to permit the owner to bring the premises up to standard. <br />1044 LaSalle Street. Tim Ottbridge, owner of this property, appeared before <br />the'Board as requested, and stated that he is willing for the building to be <br />demolished but is not able to do it himself. Upon motion made, seconded and <br />unanimously carried, the Board granted permission to the Sub -Standards Director <br />to advertise for bids for the demolition of the structure. <br />2110 Elwood. Mr. Adamson reported the house at this address is being re- <br />habilitated. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the matter <br />was continued 30 days. <br />1017 N. St. Louis. Mr. Adamson reported this structure has now been de- <br />molished by the owner. <br />735 W. Jefferson. Mr. Adamson reported he had received a letter from the <br />attorney for Hamilton & Harris Company stating they have no interest in <br />rehabilitating the property. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, <br />the Board authorized the Sub -Standards Director to seek bids for demolition of <br />the structure at 735 W. Jefferson, contingent upon the relocation of the <br />occupants. <br />2502 S. Michigan. It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that this <br />matter be continued three weeks to permit the owner to complete demolition <br />of the premises. <br />Demolition bids opened: <br />1027 W. Jefferson. Bids for demolition of this structure were opened, having <br />been pospponed m October 13, 1969. Non collusion affidavits were found <br />to be proper. Bids were: <br />Bryant Excavating Company $465.00 <br />Vanek Excavating Company 551.00 <br />O'Neal Trucking Company 484.00 <br />B & J Demolition Company 325.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, contract was awarded•to - <br />B & J Demolition Company on their low bid of $325.00. And contract was <br />executed by the Board. <br />235 E. Paris. The only bid received for the demolition of this structure <br />was opened. Non collusion affidavit was found to be proper. Bid was: <br />O'Neal Trucking Company $875.00 <br />The bid appearing to be reasonable and no other bids having been received, <br />contract for demolition of the structure at 235 E. Paris Street was awarded <br />to O'Neal Trucking Company on its bid of $875.00. <br />133 N. Carlisle. Bids were opened for the demolition of this property and non <br />collusion affidavits were found to be proper. Bids were: <br />O'Neal Trucking Co. $510.00 <br />Bryant Excavating Company 485.00 <br />B & J Demolition Co. 395.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, bid for demolition of the <br />structure at 133 N. Carlisle Street was awarded to B & J Demolition Company <br />on its low bid of $395.00. And contract was executed by the Board. <br />
