9/29/69 CHANGE IN PARKING RATES- SOUTH BEND PARKING COMPANY, INC. The following notices from South Bend Parking Company, Inc. of changes in parking rates were reviewed by the Board and ordered filed: 9/26/69. "We are making certain adjustments in our rate schedules on the following locations: Lot # 8 - 115 E. Wayne Street Lot # 9 - 215 S. St. Joseph Street Lot #23 - 306 S. Michigan Street The change from rates previously filed are: first hour rate 40�; second hour rate 20�. The balance of the rate schedule remains un- changed at 15� each additional hour, and 50� flat charge for evening parking. s/ Harry Coffman." 9/29/69. "The rate on Lot #1, 121 E. Washington Street, cyl., is being changed to 60�. s/ Harry Coffman." REQUEST TO HOLD BONFIRE - JACKSON HIGH SCHOOL 10/9/69 Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the request of Shelley Wiley, Booster Club Secretary, Jackson High School, 5001 S. Miami Street, South Bend, Indiana, to hold a bonfire at 7:30 P.M., October 9, 1969, at Jackson baseball field in connection with their homecoming game on October 10, 1969. 1 REQUEST TO BLOCK DUBAIL ON SCHOOL DAYS DURING NOON HOUR - ST. MATTHEWS CATHEDRAL Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the request of St. Matthews Cathedral to close Dubail Street, from Miami. to Dale, between 11:30 and 12:30 P.M. on school days was referred back to Traffic Engineering for further report. RENEWAL OF LEASE - FIRE STATION #5 - A.C.T.I.O.N., Inc. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved renewal of the lease with A.C.T.I.O.N., Inc., for Fire Station #5 for a further period of one year, commencing 10/1/69 through 9/30/70; and the matter was referred to the Legal Department for the preparation of renewal lease and resolution therefor. RENEWAL OF LEASE - FIRE STATION #7 - A.C.T.I.O.N., Inc. 'Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved renewal of the lease with A.C.T.I.O.N., Inc., for Fire Station #7 for a further period of one year, commencing 10/ /69 through 9/10/70; and the matter was referred to the Legal Department for the preparation of renewal lease and resolution therefor. STREET LIGHTS APPRO'JED Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the recommenda- tion of Traffic Engineering for street lighting in the area bounded by Western, Kosciuszko, the Railroad right of way end Olive Street, as follows: Remove 10 - 4,000L Remove 1 - 2,500L Replace 34- 4,000L Install 24- 7,000L Install 14- 20,000L INC INC INC with 7,000L MV MV OH WP MV OH WP at an increase in cost of $167.50 per month.
