<br />REQUEST TO HOLD STREET MEETINGS - EMANUEL CHURCH OF DELIVERANCE
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the
<br />request of W. 0. Coates, 2633 W. Washington Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, on
<br />behalf of the Emanuel Church of Deliverance, 415 W. LaSalle Street, South Bend,
<br />Indiana, to hold religious meetings from 6:00 P.M., to 7:00 P.M., week day
<br />evenings, Monday through Saturday, at Washington and Huey Streets, Wenger
<br />and Fellows, Washington and Elm Streets, and Chapin and Napier Streets,
<br />commencing immediately and lasting until about October 1, 1969, on condition
<br />that such meetings are held on the sidewalk only and do not interfere with
<br />street traffic.
<br />REQUEST TO CLOSE PARK LANE AND ALLEY FOR CORN ROAST - KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the
<br />request of Knights of Columbus to close Park Lane, between Michigan and
<br />Main Streets, and the alley adjacent to the parking lot of the Knights of
<br />Columbus, on August 28, 1969, between the hours of 4:30 P.M. and 10:00 P.M.,
<br />for a corn roast on the parking lots.
<br />REMOVAL OF PARKING METERS APPROVED - W. LASALLE AND W. COLFAX
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the
<br />removal of parking meters, as recommended by the Traffic Director, as follows:
<br />1. Meters #8, #10, #12, #14 and #16 from the south side of the
<br />200 block of W. LaSalle, with parking prohibited.
<br />2. Meters #41 and #43 from the north side of the 400 block of W. Colfax,
<br />at the approach to William Street, with parking prohibited.
<br />CONTRACTORS BONDS
<br />Contractor' s bond for Joseph R. Malo, expiring 8/20/70 and for Bituminous
<br />Materials Company, Inc., expiring 8/30/70 were approved by the Board and
<br />ordered filed.
<br />EXCAVATION BONDS
<br />Excavation bond for Dominic J. Bartoline, d/b/a Bartolini Excavating Company
<br />expiring 5/13/70, and for Howell Construction Company, expiring 8/13/70 were
<br />approved by the Board and ordered filed.
<br />CERTIFICATE OF GENERAL INSURANCE - EDWARD J. WHITE, INC.
<br />Certificate of general insurance coverage on behalf of Edward J. White, Inc.,
<br />expiring 8/27/70, provided by Bath Onsurance Agency, Inc., was ordered filed.
<br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS
<br />Street light outage reports for the period 8/13/69 to 8/20/69 were ordered
<br />filed.
<br />The next regular meeting of the Board falling on an official holiday, it was
<br />moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the Board meet at 9:30 A.M. on
<br />September 2, 1969.
<br />There being no further business to come before the Board the meeting ad-
