Mr. Hurley, owner of this property, appeared before the Board. <br />Mr. Adamson stated the residents of this neighborhood .are still complain- <br />ing of the condition of the premises. Mr. Hurley stated his children are <br />being cared for by his sister and that he is the only person living in <br />this property and that he .is endeavoring to clean up the premises. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the owner was granted 30 <br />days in which to rectify the condition of the premises. <br />2221 Smith Street. Mr. Adamson reported this property has now been secured <br />and the matter was continued indefinitely. Sub=Standards Director was <br />directed to keep the property under surveillance. <br />1013 Duey Street. This matter, having been continued 30 days from July 21, <br />1969, was again discussed and continued until September 2, 1969. <br />315 W. Garst. Mr. Adamson stated nothing has been done to.this property; <br />that it was acquired by the South Bend Lathe Company in July, 1969. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter was continued indefinitely, <br />and the Sub -Standards Director was directed to keep the property under <br />surveillance. <br />Request for owners of sub -standard properties to appear before Board 9/2/69. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />request of the Sub -Standards Director for the following owners of sub- <br />standard properties to appear before the Board on September 2, 1969, to <br />show cause, if any they have, why the following properties should not be <br />demolished: <br />John R. and Amy Ludlow <br />(Charles Hahn) <br />Lillian Gruszka <br />Jared L. Frances <br />And the Clerk is directed to so notify said owners by certified mail. <br />Demolition bids opened: <br />This being the date set, bids for demolition of the following properties <br />were opened. Non collusion affidavits were found to be proper. Bids were: <br />217 N. St. Peter Street <br />O'Neal Trucking Company $606.00 <br />Harvey R. Bryant $837.00 <br />A. Midwest Wrecking Company $767.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, bid was awarded to <br />O'Neal -Trucking Company on its low bid of $606.00, and contract was executed <br />by the Board. <br />1053 LaSalle Court <br />O'Neal Trucking Company $485.00 <br />A. Midwest Wrecking Co. $563.00 <br />Harvey R. Bryant #707.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, bid for demolition of <br />the premises at 1053 LaSalle Court was awarded to O'Neal Wrecking Company on <br />its low bid of $489.00, and contract was executed by the Board. <br />2133 Merry Avenue <br />Harvey R. Bryant $372.00 <br />A. Midwest Wrecking Co. $283.00, <br />O'Neal. Trucking Company $375.00 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, bid for demolition of <br />the structure at 2133 Merry Avenue was awarded to A. Midwest Wrecking Company <br />
