8/18/69 STREET LIGHT INSTALLATION - SCHOOL FIELD AREA Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department for the following: (1) To increase the lights on Eddy between Jefferson and the Cooper Bridge complet from 6,000 INC to 21,OOCUV. in,'.,10 lights placed 150 feet apart. Cost $18.30 (2) To increase the lights on the north side of the 1100 block of E, South Street between Eddy and Sunnyside from the 3 - 1000INC to 6 - 7000 MV. cost $16.15 (3) To increase_ the lights on the west side of the 500 block S. Sunnyside from the present 2 - 1000 INC and 1 - 4000 INC to 2 - 7000 MV. Cost $.65 (4) replace the present 4000 INC at Parry and Wester with a 7000 MV. Cost $.90. STREET LIGHT INSTALLATION - RILEY HIGH SCHOOL AREA Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department for the following: (1) Replace 4 - 4,000 INC on Fox St. between Fellows and Michigan with 7,000 MV lights. Cost $3.60 (2) Replace the 3 - 4000 INC on Donald Between Fellows and Michigan with 71000 MV lights. Cost $2.70 (3) Replace the 3 - 4,000 INC on Bowman Street between Fellows and Michigan with 7,000 MV lights. Cost $2.70 (4) Replace the 5 - 4,000 INC on Ewing between Michigan and Miami with 7,000 MV lights. Cost $4.50 (5) Replace the 3 - 4,000 INC on Fox between High and Miami with 7,000 MV lights. Cost $2.70 (6) Replace the 4 - 1,000 INC on Donald between High and Miami with a 7,000 MV at Donald and High and a 7,000 MV at mid -block between High and Dale. Also replace the 4,000 INC on High and Dale and mid -block between Miami and Dale with 2 - 7,000 MV lights.. Cost $7.00 (7) Replace the 3 - 4,000 INC on Bowman between High and Miami with 71000 MV and replace the 1,000 INC with a 7,000 MV. Cost $4.45 MAJOR STREET CLASSIFICATION MAP Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried the Board adopts the street classification system for the City of South Bend as prepared by the Area Plan Commission as shown on the major street system map dated August, 1969, as amended to include Marquette from Olive to Portage and Colfax Road from Portage to Riverside. PARKING STRUCTURES - MCRRIS ELECTRIC The performance bond of Morris Electric for the installation in the Parking Structures #1 and #2 was filed with the Board. CONTRACTORS' BOND The following contractors' bonds were received and filed with the Board: Charles Berta - continued to 7/11/197 0 Frank Frigyesi - to 6/6/1970 STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS Street light outage reports for 8/7/69 through 8/14/69 were received and filed with the Board.
