7/21/69 <br />And =the i'Board, having examined all bids received June 30, 1969, for such <br />tmptdvement and being duly advised, upon motion made, seconded and unani- <br />mousfy carried;-"awiardt dontract to Bituminous Materials Company, Inc., <br />for the paving of said Street with Class C, Type IV pavement on its low <br />bid of $12,679.50. And said Company is hereby given notice to proceed <br />with such improvement. <br />ENGINEER'S RECOMMENDATION <br />PRELIMINARY ORDER <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO, 3287 - PRAST BOULEVARD <br />For the improvement of Prast Boulevard, from Johnson Street to Huey Street, <br />by constructing a Class C pavement with curb repair. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approves the <br />recommendation of Clyde E. Williams &. Associates, Inc., consulting engineers, <br />and hereby orders that said street be paved with Class C, Type III -A pavement. <br />REQUEST LEAVE FOR MILITARY DUTY- RALPH WADZINSKI, TRAFFIC ENGINEERING <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />Q request of Ralph Wadzinski, Traffic Engineering, for leave for Military <br />Duty August 2, to August 17, 1969. <br />il~ <br />PETITION FOR STREET LIGHTS AND TRAFFIC REGULATION - E. OHIO STREET - APPROVED <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />recommendation of the Traffic Director for the following, in the 500 and 600 <br />block of E. Ohio Street: <br />1. To increase the existing 4000 INC light to 7000'_Lumen MV. <br />2. Install three 7000 MV OH WP lights, two mid -blocks and one <br />intersection. <br />3. To prohibit parking on the north side of Ohio Street, from Marietta <br />to a point at the west property line of 615 Ohio Street. <br />STREET::-'L'1GHTS APRROVED <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />recommendations of the Traffic Director for the following: <br />Carlisle and Orange. To increase existing light from 4000L INC <br />to 7000L MV. <br />3600 Lilac Road. To increase the existing light from 4000L INC <br />to 7000L MV on Lilac and Southlea Drive. Install 3 additional <br />7000L MV on Lilac Road at 250 feet intervals. <br />100 E. Chippewa. Install 7000L MV OH on a new wood pole. <br />800-900 E. Dayton. Install a 7000L MV OH WP street light at the <br />mid block alley. <br />529 S. 29th Street. Install a 7000L MV OH WP street light. <br />PETITION FOR STREET LIGHT - 600-800 BLOCKS NOTRE DAME <br />Petition for street lights in the 600 to 800 blocks of Notre Dame Avenue <br />was filed with the Board by Louis Rafhill, 744 N. Notre Dame Avenue, South <br />Bend, Indiana, and 18 others and, upon motion made, seconded and unanimously <br />carried, was referred to the Traffic Engineer for study and recommendation. <br />TRAFFIC REGULATION APPROVED - 1200 W. WESTERN <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />recommendation of the Traffic Director for the extension of yellow curb line <br />on the north side of 1200 W. Western Avenue, from the existing yellow east <br />of Walnut to the first alley east of Walnut. <br />
