7/14/69 <br />FINAL ORDER <br />AWARD OF CONTRACT <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3267 (AMENDED) - WEST CALVERT STREET <br />For the improvement of West Calvert Street, from Pulaski to Brookfield. <br />Fifty one percent or more of the resident property owners on West Calvert <br />Street having requested that said street be paved with Type IV pavement <br />instead of Type III -A as designated in the preliminary order adopted on June <br />30, 1969, the preliminary order is hereby rescinded and said street is <br />ordered paved with Type IV pavement. <br />Having examined all bids and being duly advised, the Board, upon motion made, <br />seconded and unanimously carried awards contract to Rieth Riley Construction <br />Company on its low bid of $10,297.80 for the paving of said street with <br />Type IV pavement. And said Company is hereby given notice to proceed with <br />said improvement. <br />FINAL ORDER <br />AWARD OF CONTRACT <br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3268 (AMENDED) - WALSH STREET <br />For the improvement of Walsh Street, from Chalfant to Sorin. <br />d= Fifty one percent or more of the resident property owners on Walsh Street having <br />requested that said street be paved with Type IV pavement instead of Type <br />III -A as designated in the preliminary order adopted on June 30, 1969, the <br />preliminary order is hereby rescinded and said street is ordered paved with <br />Type IV pavement. <br />Having examined all bids and being duly advised, the Board, upon motion made, <br />seconded and unanimously carried, awards contract -to Bituminous Materials <br />Company, Inc., on its low bid of $8,927.50 for the paving of said street with <br />Type IV pavement. And said Company is hereby given notice to proceed with <br />said improvement. <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3295 ADOPTEi"UNE 30, 1969 RESCINDED - FRANKLIN STREET <br />Due to scrivener's error -requiring readvertising and the setting of a new <br />hearing date, Vacation Resolution No. 3295 adopted June 30, 1969, being for <br />the vacation of Franklin Street, from Western M enue south to Monroe Street, <br />is hereby rescinded and voided. <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3295 ADOPTED - FRANKLIN STREET <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the following Resolution <br />was adopted: <br />"RESOLVED, BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF SOUTH <br />BEND, INDIANA, that it is desirable to vacate the following: <br />Franklin Street, from Western Avenue south to Monroe Street. <br />Reserving the rights and easements of all -utilities and the <br />Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana, to construct and maintain <br />any facilities, including but not limited to electric, telephone, <br />gas, water, sewer, surface water control structures and ditches <br />within the vacation right of way unless such rights are released by <br />the individual utilities. <br />The following property may be injuriously or beneficially <br />affected by such vacation: <br />Lot Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8,of Block 8 of Vail's <br />southwest Addition and Lot Nos. 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31 <br />of part of Vail's Southwest Addition. <br />Notice of this Resolution shall be published on the l8th <br />day of July and on the 25th day of July, 1969, in the South Bend Tribune <br />and the Tri County News. <br />This Board, at its office in the City Ha ll, on the 2!8th day <br />of July, 1969, at 9:30 A.M., will hear and receive remonstrances from <br />
