KENNETH HURLEY <br />Mr. Adamson, Sub -Standards Director, presented to the Board a letter from <br />the Welfare Department concerning Mrs. Kenneth Hurley, who is presently <br />in the hospital as the result of an automobile accident, which letter states <br />that Kenneth Hurley is presently taking care of the children and that no <br />present welfare assistance is requested. <br />Mr. Ewing, of the Health Department, appeared before the Board and stated <br />that the premises are being kept in better condition, and that the <br />house will be kept under surviilance by the Health Department. <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 3293 - MENTAL HEALTH CENTER <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, Vacation Resolution <br />No. 3293, being for the vacation of: <br />Q the north -south alley between St. Louis Street and St. Peter <br />Cn Street from Colfax Avenue north 198 feet to the first east - <br />west alley. <br />was further continued at the request of Attorneys John Montgomery and <br />Robert L. Miller. <br />ASSESSMENT ROLL FILED -yAeA ION RESOLUTION NO. 3291, 1969 CURTIS E. GERBER <br />Lloyd S. Taylor, City Engineer, files assessment roll showing award of <br />damages and assessment of benefits in Vacation Resolution No. 3291, being for <br />the vacation of: <br />A portion of the first east -west alley lying south of Hildreth <br />Street and west from the west line of Twyckenhhm Drive, described <br />as follows: Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 32,. Euclid <br />Park, South Bebd, Indiana; thence west 111.5 feet to the northwest <br />corner of Lot 32; thence north 14 feet to the southwest corner of <br />Lot 31; thence east 111.5 feet to the southeast corner of Lot 31; <br />thence south 14 feet to the place of beginning. <br />Also, a portion of the first east -west alley north of Northside <br />Boulevard, running east from the north -south alley east of Clover <br />Street described as follows:. Beginning at the southwest corner <br />of Lot 37, Euclid Park;'thence east 55.75 feet along the south <br />line of said Lot 37; thence south 14 feet to the northeast corner <br />of Lot 39; thence west 55.75 feet to the northwest corner of Lot 39; <br />thence north 14 feet to the southwest corner of Lot 37, the place <br />of beginning. <br />Reserving the rights and easements of all utilities and the <br />Municipal City of South Bend, Indiana, to construct and maintain <br />any facilities, inc'uding but not limited to electric, telephone, gas, water <br />sewer, surface water control structures and ditches within the vacated <br />right of way unless such rights are released by the individual <br />utilities. <br />The following property may be injuriously or beneficially affected <br />by such vacation: <br />Lots 31, 32, 37 and 39 of Euclid Park Addition. Total net damages <br />and total net benefits - None. <br />In the above named assessment roll, the Board wi`i.l meet in the City Hall <br />at 9:30 A.M., on the 4th day of August, 1969, for the purpose of hearing <br />and receiving remonstrances from all persons interested in or affected by <br />said vacation, and the Board orders that notice of hearing, together with <br />the amount of damages awarded and benefits assessed, be addressed to the <br />property owners by publishing same on the llth day of July, the 18th day <br />of July and the 25th day of July, 1969, in the South Bend Tribune and the <br />Tri County News. <br />
