<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved
<br />`the request of Bert Cichowicz, City Sealer, to attend the National Confer-
<br />ence on Weights and Measures, Washington, D. Co
<br />REQUEST OF WEST SIDE CHURCH OF CHRIST - TRAFFIC CONTROL
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the request of Richard
<br />J. Wolfcale, Minister of West Side Church of Christ, 22959 Edison Road,
<br />South Bend, Indiana, 46628, for two police officers for traffic control
<br />between the hours of 7:30 P.M. and 8:15 P.M. and between the hours of 10:15
<br />P.M. and 10:45 P.M., from June 16 through June 29, 1969, at the 4-H
<br />Fairgrounds, was referred to the Police Department for recommendation to the
<br />Board.
<br />REQUEST TO SOLICIT FUNDS - SOUTH BEND RESCUE HOME MISSION SOCIETY
<br />Bishop H. W. McLaurine, South Bend Rescue Home Mission Society, R. R. #3,
<br />Box 661, Filmore Road, South Bend, Indiana, appeared before the Board and
<br />0 requested permission to solicit funds to be used in connection with their
<br />playground and youth camp. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously
<br />w carried, the Board approv,e&'the request, upon clearance with the Charitable
<br />Solicitations Committee.
<br />REQUEST FOR EXTENSION OF TIME TO HOLD STREET SERVICES - DORA LOTTIE
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved
<br />the request of Dora Lottie, 2024 Pershing Street, South Bend, Indiana,
<br />representing the Church of God in Christ, to further hold street services
<br />Tuesdays and Fridays from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 PM, at the corner of Michigan
<br />and Ohio Streets until approximately September 15, 1969.
<br />PARKING RESTRICTION APPROVED - 300 BLOCK S. CHAPIN STREET
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the
<br />recommendation of the Traffic Director, upon completion of construction
<br />at the northeast quadrant of Chapin end Western] to prohibit parking on the
<br />east side of Chapin Street, from Western Avenue to Napier Street.
<br />USE OF BOULEVARD TO DELIVER STEEL GIRDERS TO CLEVELAND ROAD BRIDGE
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the
<br />recommendation of the Traffic Director for routing steel delivery to the
<br />new Cleveland Road Bridge site: Michigan and Angela on Angela to Riverside.
<br />Riverside Drive to the construction site. Maximum load to be 24 tons, and maxi-
<br />mum length to be 85 feet. Vehicles to have flasher lights and other safety
<br />equipment.
<br />PETITION FOR STREET LIGHT - 2520 LATHROP
<br />Petition for a street light at 2520 Lathrop was filed with the Board by Mrs.
<br />Glen Herreman, 2510 Lathrop Street, and eight others, and referred to the
<br />Traffic Director for study and recommendation to the Board.
<br />RETIT'ION FOR STREET LIGHT - 2211 N. OLIVE AND 2233 N OLIVE
<br />Petition for street lights at 2211 N. Olive and at 2233 N. Olive Street was
<br />filed with the Board by Mrs. Edward Platts, 2211 N. Olive Street, and nine
<br />others, and referred to the Traffic Director for study and recommendation
<br />to the Board.
<br />REQUEST OF HANOVER INSURANCE COMPANY - MARVEL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY
<br />Request of Hanover Insurance Company, 205 State Life Building, Indianapolis,
<br />Indiana that no further permits be issued to Marvel Construction Company under
<br />their Contractor's Bond #MSC 335931 as of May 28, 1969, was approved by the
<br />Board.
