5/12/69 <br />that certain equipment is no longer needed and is unfit <br />for the purposes for which it was intended, and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety, <br />pursuant to Chapter 186, Acts of 1967 of the Indiana <br />General Assembly, did advertise said equipment for sale <br />pursuant to said Acts, and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to statute, public auction <br />of said personal property was to be had April 7, 1969, <br />and at such time no satisfactory bid was received for <br />said equipment, and <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board <br />of Public Works and safety that said equipment is of negli- <br />gible monetary value, and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 186, Acts of 1967 of the <br />Indiana General Assembly, permits the transfer of items <br />of personal property of less than $500.00 value without <br />C advertising but subject to written authorization of the <br />010.1 Executive Authority of the Municipality, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board <br />of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend <br />that the following described equipment: <br />One 1954 American LaFrance, 750 G.P.M. <br />Pumper Truck, Serial No. 15005, Engine <br />No. 58430, <br />be transferred to the South Bend Park Department for use <br />at the Story land Zoo. <br />Adopted this 12th day of May, 1969. <br />THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />Lloyd S.
