<br />day of May and on the 16th day of May, 1969, in the South Bend
<br />Tribune and the Tri- County News.
<br />This Board at its office in the City Hall on the 19th day of May
<br />1969, will hear and receive remonstrances from all persons
<br />interested in or affected by these proceedings.

<br />The petition of E. J. Barany, 1611 S. Main Street, South Bend, Indiana,
<br />to vacate:
<br />C the first alley west of 1600 S. Main Street, from Indiana
<br />Avenue to the next intersecting east -west alley from
<br />1600 S. Main Street.
<br />„? was filed and, upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried,

<br />area and referral to the Area Plan Commission for study and recommendation
<br />to the Board.
<br />PETITJON TO PAVE PRAST BOULEVARD UNDER BARRETT LAW - E. F. GOLABOWSKI
<br />A petition to pave Prast Boulevard, from Johnson Street to Huey Street,
<br />according to Barrett Law, was filed with the Board by E. F. Golabowski,
<br />2016 Prast Boulevard, and, upon motion made, seconded and unanimously
<br />carried, referred to the City Engineer for study and recommendation.
<br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3258, 1968 (AMENDED) - HARTMAN DRIVE
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, Improvement Resolution
<br />No. 3258, 1968, being for the improvement of Hartman Drive, from Rosemary
<br />Lane to dead end, by constructing a Class C pavement with curbs, was amended
<br />to read as follows:
<br />" BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Works and Safety
<br />of the city of South Bend, Indiana, that it is deemed necessary
<br />to improve Hartman Drive, from Rosemary Lane to dead end, by
<br />constructing a Class C pavement with curbs.
<br />The same to be done in accordance with the profiles,
<br />drawings, plans, general details and specifications for such im-
<br />provement approved February 3, 1969, and to be adopted by the Board
<br />of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana,
<br />immediately upon the final adoption and confirmation of this
<br />resolution, and placed on file in the office of the Board of Public
<br />Works and Safety of said City, and such improvement is now ordered.
<br />The total cost of said improvement, including all incidental
<br />costs such as advertising, abstracting, inspection and engineering,
<br />shall be assessed upon the real estate abutting on said Hartman
<br />Drive to be improved, all according to the method and manner
<br />provided for in an Act of the General Assembly of the State of
<br />Indiana, entitled "An Act Concerning Municipal Corporations," approved
<br />March 6, 1905, and an Act of the General Assembly of the State of
<br />Indiana, entitled "An Act Concerning Municipal Corporations"
<br />approved February 27, 1953, and in accordance with and pursuant to the
<br />provisions of all Amendatory and Supplemental Acts thereto, passed by
<br />the General Assembly of the State of Indiana. Assessments, if deferred,
<br />are to be paid in five (5) equal installments, with interest at the
<br />rate of six percent (60%) per annum. Assessments, either cash or de-
<br />ferred, and such costs as said City is by said entitled Acts and pro-
<br />visions of all Acts amendatory and supplemental thereto required to pay
