Mr. Adamson stated Eugene Mendenhall, owner of this <br />property, had made an appearance and left a note for Mr. Adamson that he <br />would have no objection to the demolition of the premises. Upon motion <br />made, seconded and unanimously carried, permission was granted to advertise <br />for bids for demolition of the building. <br />419 S. Kenmore. Dr. W. J. Fillipek, owner of this building, did not appear <br />as requested. Mr. Adamson stated he had a letter from Dr. Fillipek giving <br />permission for the demolition of the property. Upon motion made, seconded <br />and unanimously carried, permission was granted to advertise for bids for <br />demolition of the building. <br />127 E. Paris Street. Karl Dubai], owner of this building, did not appear <br />as requested. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the, <br />Board granted permission to advertise for bids for demolition of the property. <br />1020 Duey Street. Karl Dubai], owner of the building, did not appear as <br />requested. Upon motion made; seconded and unanimously carried, the Board granted per- <br />i3issiod to advertise for bids for the completion of the demolition of this <br />building formerly begun by Clifton Lee, contractor, now out of business. <br />_12171 S. Rush Street. Charles Q. Mack, owner of this building, appeared as <br />�» requested and, having to leave before having an opportunity to be heard, <br />advised Mr. Adamson he would have no objection to the demolition of this <br />structure, which is an accessory building. Upon motion made, seconded and <br />unanimously carried, permission was granted to advertise for bids for de- <br />molition of the building. <br />719,W Jefferson Boulevard. Stephen Varga, owner of this property, who <br />lives in California, did not appear as requested by the Board, but asked, <br />by letter, a delay until July, 1969. Won motion made, seconded and <br />unanimously carried, an extension.of two weeks was granted.in which to <br />afford the owner an opportunity to secure the building. <br />1046 Georgiana. Robert V. Batteast, owner of this property, did not appear <br />as requested. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board <br />granted permission to advertise for bids for demolition of the structure. <br />536 Crescent Street. A letter from the owner of this property, Catherine <br />Simeri, who lives in California, was read -.stating that she would have no ob- <br />jection to the demolition of -the structure. Upon motion made, seconded and <br />unanimously carried, permission was granted to advertise for bids for <br />demolition of the structure. <br />1814 S. Phillipa Street. Joseph Hutter, owner of this property, did not appear <br />as requested. Mr. Adamson stated Mr. Hutter had phoned him earlier this date <br />stating he was removing the debris and cleaning up the place and hoped to <br />have it completed soon. Uponcmotion made, seconded and unanimously carried, <br />the matter was postponed until May 5, 1969, to permit the owner to complete <br />the job. <br />Request for owners of sub -standard properties <br />to appear before the Board May J,1969 <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />request of the Sub -Standards Director to have the following property owners <br />appear before the Board on May 12, 1969, to show cause why the properties <br />listed below should not be demolished: <br />Stanley and Phyllis Nowak 824 S. Liberty Street <br />William L. Kimball 116 E. Ohio Street <br />Karl Dubai] 1201 S. Carroll Street <br />And the Clerk was directed to so notify said owners by certified mail. <br />Bids opened <br />This being the date set, bids were opened for the demolition of the following <br />properties.
