Cooper, 609 E. Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, <br />and 23 other owners of property fronting on Jefferson Boulevard, objecting, <br />to any change in the present parking arrangement on Jefferson Boulevard, <br />was received from attorney William N. Farabaugh, and ordered filed. <br />AREA PLAN COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION - PETITION TO VACATE ALLEY - MORRIS <br />S. FRIEDMAN <br />For the vacation ofa portion of Edmond Court, situated between Notre Dame <br />Avenue and Frances Street, from LaSalle Avenue south to the first east -west <br />alley also known as Luther Court. <br />Area Plan Commission makes the following recommendation: <br />"After due consideration, it was moved, seconded and unanimously <br />carried that the petition be recommended favorably to the Board <br />of Public Works and Safety, subject to the necessary utility <br />easements." <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the petition was referred to the City <br />Engineer for the preparation of a vacation resolution. <br />SALE OF OBSOLETE PERSONAL PROPERTY - BY EXECUTIVE AUTHORIZATION <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the following Resolution <br />approved by the Mayor, was adopted by the Board for the sale of pumper truck <br />of the Fire Department: <br />"RESOLUTION NO. 3-3-69 <br />RESOLUTION AND EXECUTIVE AUTHORIZATION TO SELL PERSONAL <br />PROPERTY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND WHICH IS NO LONGER NEEDED <br />OR IS UNFIT FOR ITS INTENDED PURPOSE <br />"WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Board of Public <br />Works and Safety and the Fire Chief of the City of South Bend, Indiana, <br />that certain fire fighting vehicle unit is no longer needed, and is <br />unfit for the purpose for which it was intended, and <br />'WHEREAS, Chapter 186, Acts of 1967 of the Indiana General <br />Assembly, permits the sale of personal property no longer needed or <br />obsolete, and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works <br />and Safety of the City of South Bend that the following described fire <br />fighting vehicle unit is no longer needed and is unfit for the purpose <br />for which it was intended: <br />1954 American LaFrance, 750 G.P.M. pumper truck, <br />serial No. 15005, engine No. 58430. <br />" BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by said Board that the said fire <br />fighting vehicle be sold at public auction after advertising it for <br />sale by four insertions, one week apart, pursuant to the provisions <br />of the Acts of 1927, Chapter 96 as amended, in the City of South <br />Bend. <br />THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS & SAFETY <br />OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND <br />Lloyd S.
