2/24/69 <br />THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the South Bend Board of <br />Public Works and Safety, the agency of City government re- <br />sponsible for the Morris Civic Auditorium, does hereby extend <br />sincere sympathy to the family of Mrs. Morris, and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the memory of her accomplish- <br />ments will serve as an everlasting inspiration to every person <br />involved in building the -City that was her home. <br />Lloyd S. And the Clerk was <br />directed to forward a copy to the members of the family of Mrs. Ella <br />L. Morris (Mrs. Judd Leighton, 2912 Marine Street, South Bend, Indiana <br />and Mrs. 0. C. Carmichael, Jr., 110 N. Esther Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana). <br />PETITION TO CONSTRUCT SANITARY SEWER AND WATER LINES <br />The petition of H. Clifford Rich, 4412 Fellows Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana, for the construction of a sanitary sewer and water lines <br />on Fellows Street, from Ireland Road to Walter and from the east end <br />of Walter Street tgser' t e first three lots west of the corner, accord- <br />ing to Barrett Law,Aan , upon motion made, seconded and unanimously <br />carried, referred to the City Engineer for study and recommendation to <br />the Board. And the Clerk was directed to forward a copy of the petition <br />to John Hunter for the attention of the Water Works Board as such <br />petition relates to water lines. <br />TAXICAB STAND - ERNIE ZICK <br />The request of Ernie Zick to have the length of his taxicab stand at <br />117 W. Washington Street corrected from 14 feet to 22 feet in length, <br />upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, was -referred to the <br />Traffic Engineer for investigation and recommendation. <br />PARKING PROHIBITED - SOUTH SIDE OF DONMOYER - 100 to 400 BLOCK <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved <br />the recommendation of the Traffic Engineer to prohibit parking on the <br />South side of Donmoyer Street, between Michigan and Fellows Streets <br />(100 block to 400 block), in order to relieve congestion and hazardous <br />driving conditions. <br />CONTRACTOR'S BOND <br />Contractor's bond on behalf of Paul E. Geans to 2/17/70 was approved <br />and ordered filed. <br />CONT 11NUAT ION CERTIFICATES <br />Certificate continuing contractor's bond on behalf of Sollitt Construction <br />Company to 3/5/70 was approved and ordered filed. <br />Certificate continuing excavation bond on behalf of Wallace Mitchell to <br />1/31/70 was approved and ordered filed. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street light outage reports for the period 2/13/69 to 2/20/69 were ordered <br />filed. <br />
