Olive Street. Mr. Adamson states this property has been unoccupied <br />for five years; that it is owned by Mrs. Maude Hammer, 105 S. York Street, <br />Elmhurst, Illinois. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter was <br />tabled for one week. Mr. Adamson will investigate to see if the taxes have <br />been paid on the property. <br />721 E. Colfax Avenue. Mr. Adamson reported Dominec Trippei, the owner of this <br />property,had contacted him earlier this date, stating the occupants of this <br />property had moved and left tie property in the present bad condition.' Mr. <br />Trippei did not appear before the Board. Mr. Adamson reports the owner <br />does not appear to want to do anything about the property. Upon motion made, <br />seconded and carried, permission was granted to advertise for bids for de- <br />molition of the property. <br />127 E. Paris Street. Mr. Adamson reports this is an accessory building in <br />the back; that the house itself appears to be in good condition; that the <br />property is being purchased on a land contract by W. B. Williams, who <br />indicates he has no funds with which to demolish the buildi-ng. Since the <br />contact has been with the contract buyer, the matter was postponed until <br />March 3, 1969, in order to locate the owner of the property. <br />RESOLUTION - DEATH OF MRS. ELLA L. MORRIS <br />Mr. Bickel moved that the following Resolution be adopted and spread of <br />record in the minutes of this meeting: <br />"RESOLUTION <br />WHEREAS, the late Mrs. Ella L. Morris exemplified the spirit <br />of beneficence, and <br />WHEREAS, for many years she concentrated her civic leader- <br />ship and her philanthropic interests on the South Bend Community, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, her continuing dedication to education, culture <br />and the arts benefitted thousands of her fellow citizens, and <br />WHEREAS, scores of adults and children have experienced <br />the esthetic enrichment of drama, concerts and other events made <br />possible by the Morris Civic Auditorium which Mrs. Morris <br />generously donated to the City of South Bend, and <br />WHEREAS, the people of our City are saddened by the passing <br />on Wednesday, February 19, 1969, of this energetic, compassionate <br />and responsible leader, now <br />�1 <br />1 <br />
