2/17/69 REQUEST TO HOLD STREET SERVICES - CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRISR The request of Dora Lottie, 2024 Pershing Street,' South Bend, for the Church of God in Christ, 323 Liberty Street, South Bend, to hold street services was filed with the Board, and the Clerk was directed to notify Dora Lott ie to appear before the Board on February 24; 1969, to provide further information. STREET LIGHTS APPROVED Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approv d the recommendation of the Traffic Engineer for installation and removal of treet lights as follows: Johnson from Linden to Werwi.nski (Model City area): Replace 7 ,0001- INC OH WP with seven 7,0001- MV OH 11P street lights Install 3 - 7,0001- MV OH WP street lights--midblock between Linden and Florence; at the intersection with Fassna ht;-.and intersection at Longley. Johnson from Werwinski to Lincolnwa Replace 3 - ,0'00 L INC with 3 70000L MV STREET SIGNS APPROVED Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the installation of the following street signs: NO PARKING sign and post with left arrow 1900 block W. Washington, just west of Bro kfield on north side of street. STOP signs on Hildreth at Emerson THROUGH TRUCKS PROHIBITED signs on the southwest corn r of Chippewa and Main and on the northeast co ner of S. Main and Ireland Road. NO PARKING signs, both sides of 200 W. ckman between Penn. Central RR and drive t Kaiser Jeep. ONE HOUR PARKING LIMIT signs at 619 W. Wilber COMPLAINT - SIDEWALKS OtCMADISON Councilwoman Janet Allen spoke to the Board regarding th lack of sidewalks on the north side of Madison Street, westi:of Michigan; aid the condition of the sidewalks on the south side of Madison west of Michi. an. The matter was referred to the City Engineer for investigation of lick of sidewalks between Michigan and Main, on the north side of Madison', CITY ENGINEER'S RECOMMENDATION FOR SIDEWALK - SUMMIT DRIVE ORDER TO CONSULTING ENGINEER FOR PRELIMINARY PLANS Upon motion made, seconded and carried. the Board approved -the recommendation of the City Engineer for the improvement of Summit Drive (west side), from approximately 350 feet south of .Western Avenut to approx mately 600 feet north of Western Avenue, by constructing a sidewalk on t e west side, and directs Clyde E. Williams and Associates, Inc., consulti g engineers, to prepare preliminary plans, estimates and the preliminary improvement resolution for such improvement.
