2/17/69 <br />1820 S. Taylor. I`ll s. Alen Zakrowski, owner of this property, appeared be- <br />fore the Board thinking hearing was today instead of next Monday. She was <br />referred to Mr. Adamson. <br />1127,Campeau Street. Clifton (Jerry) Davis appeared in error, thinking <br />hearing was today instead of next week. He was informed that unless this <br />structure is secured and boarded up by the hearing next 'Monday, the <br />structure will have to come down. Also the dead trees on the lawn must be <br />cleaned up., <br />SPECIAL POLICE - ROSS MIKE PERRI <br />The application of Ross Mike Perri.for appointment as a special police <br />officer was received by the Board, with the Police Chief's recommendation. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the commission was <br />approved by the Board. Mr. Perri being employed by American District <br />Telegraph Company. <br />SPECIAL POLICE - DONALD L. TENER <br />The application of Donald L. Tener for appointment as a special police <br />C^1 officer was received by the Board, with the Police Chief's recommendation. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the commission was <br />approved by the Board. Mr. Tener will serve with the Bendix Corporation. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT STATISTICAL REPORT FOR JANUARY, 1.969 <br />Police Department statistical report for January, 1969, together with <br />a report by Chief Thomas H. McNaughton on escorts provided during 1968 <br />were reviewed and ordered filed. - <br />RE: PROCEDURE FOR ISSUING PARKING METER BAGS <br />The following recommendation was made to the Board by the Legal Department <br />in reference. to the issuing of parking meter bags: <br />"To carry into effect the procedures recommended by Traffic <br />Engineer C1em.Hazi-nski in his letter addressed to the Board <br />under date of February 10, 1969, it will be necessary to amend <br />the city ordinance. I think it would be appropriate to add <br />a new sub -paragraph (c) to Section 25=60 setting forth the <br />recommended fees and procedures." <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the matter was again referred to <br />the Legal Department for the preparation of such an amendment to the <br />ordinance for the consideration of the Common Council. <br />APPLICATION - FIRE DEPARTMENT - ALLEN JOSEPH STEENBEKE <br />The application for appointment to the Fire Department by Allen Joseph <br />Steenbeke was filed and referred to the Personnel Director for further <br />processing. <br />PETITION TO VACATE ALLEY - CHARLES NIBLICK <br />Petition to vacate the alley between 528 Scott Street and 530 Scott <br />Street was filed by attorney Timothy Wood on behalf of Charles Niblick, <br />528 N. Scott Street, together with deposit of $65.00 for costs. Upon <br />motion made, seconded and carried, the petition was referred to the City <br />Engineer -for drawing locating utilities, before forwarding to Area Plan <br />Commission for its study and recommendation to the Board. <br />REQUEST TO SELL POPPIES - BENDIX AMERICAN LEGI-ON AUXILIARY UNIT #284 <br />The request of Kay Kyle for Bendix American Legion Auxiliary Unit #284 <br />to sell poppies at Bendix May.'23 and 24, 1969, was filed with the Board <br />and referred to the Charitable Solicitations Committee. <br />
