1/13/69 <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB -STANDARDS DIVISION <br />Mr. W. J. Adamson, Sub -Standards Director, appeared before the Board and the <br />following matters were taken up. <br />806 N. St. Peter Street. Mrs. Sylvia Warren, 1323 E. Howard Street, owner of this <br />property, appeared before the Board and stated that she had sold this property, <br />on a land contract to Charles Howell; that payment had been made to her and she <br />expects to give Mr. Howell a deed this week. The matter was postponed until <br />January 20, 1969, to permit Charles Howell an opportunit.y to appear before the <br />Board. <br />REQUEST FOR SIGNAL TECHNICIANS TO ATTEND SIGNAL SEMINAR INDIANAPOLIS INDIANA <br />Upon motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />request of the Traffic Engineer for signal technicians George Ladewsk'i and <br />Frank Kuminecz to attend a Traffic Signal Seminar January 15 and 16, 1969, in <br />Indianapolis, Indiana. <br />STREET LIGHT REQUESTS <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the recommendation of <br />the Traffic Engineering Department for street lights as follows: <br />Wall & 30th Streets - Increase of existing 4000 L INC to 7000 L MV. <br />400 S. Grant - Mid block. <br />621 N. St. Louis - Removal of 9 boulevard lights and installation of <br />four 7000 L MV in replacement. <br />Mr. Bickel abstained from voting. <br />FIRE HYDRANTS APPROVED - AIRPORT INDUSTRIAL PARKING <br />Upon motion duly made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />recommendation of the City Engineer for <br />the installation of: <br />Fire hydrant on the north side of Voorde Drive approximately 500 ft. west <br />in center line of Progress Drive; <br />Fire hydrant on Bendix Drive approximately 500 ft. north of the existing <br />hydrant in front of Simon Brothers, Inc. <br />BUILDING DEPARTMENT - REQUEST TO ATTEND BUILDING OFFICIALS CONFERENCE <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the request <br />of Building Commissioner Forrest West to attend the Building Officials Conference <br />of American in Miami, Florida January 15 to January 20, 1969. <br />WEIGHTS AND MEASURES - REQUEST TO ATTEND TECHNICAL TRAINING SCHOOL <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the request <br />of Bert Cichowicz, City sealer, to attend the Weights and Measures Technical <br />Training School in Indianapolis, Indiana, January 15, 16 and 17, 1969. <br />REPORT OF ST. JOSEPH COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT ON RESTAURANT LICENSES <br />The report of St. Joseph County Health Department listing restaurants not <br />having obtained City restaurant license due January 1, 1969, was reviewed by <br />the Board and ordered filed. 106 restaurants still unpaid. <br />"IN KIND" RENTAL VOUCHERS FILED BY A.C.T.I.O.N. <br />In -kind rental vouchers for rent for January, 1969, were filed with the Board by <br />A.C.T.I.O.N., Inc. as follows: <br />Fire Station #5 - $169.58 <br />Fire Station #7 - $200.00 <br />
