i3- = <br />5/24/71 <br />INDIANA BELL TELEPHONE COMPANY CONSTRUCTION SITE - REQUEST TO CLOSE ALLEY <br />Charles Boynton, attorney, St. Joseph Bank Building, South Bend, Indiana, <br />John Deering and Gene Staszewski, representing the Hickey Construction <br />Company, appeared before the Board. <br />Mr. Boynton requested the closing of the alley west of Lots 271, 272 and <br />273 and the alley south of Lot 273 of the original"plat of the town, now <br />city of South Bend, and requests permission to place footings, as shown <br />in their plans, in the alley, an encroachment of approximately 4 feet <br />6 inches, ranging from 14 to 18 feet in depth. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board deferred'action on the <br />request pending an agreement with Carl Hibberd, owner of the building on <br />Lot 274, for an indemnification to the City of South Bend against claims <br />or damages that might result from the closing of, -.said alley. <br />REQUEST TO SELL POPPIES - BE:NDIX AVIATION UNIT NO. 284 <br />The request of Mrs. Ethel Supernaw, 401 Wakewa Street, South Bend, Indiana, <br />for the Bendix Aviation Unit No. 284, 401 N. Michigan Street, South Bend, <br />Indiana, to sell poppies on May 21, 1971, at the Bendix Corporation gates <br />and in the downtown area, approved by the Board on May 20, 1971, is hereby <br />made of record in these minutes. <br />STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS <br />Street light outage reports for the period 5/12/71 to 5/21/71 were ordered <br />filed. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting adjourned <br />at 11:50 A.M. <br />I <br />�� <br />1 <br />
