37 7- <br />5/3/71 <br />request of Barry L. Rupel, 1706 Sherman Avenue, South Bend, Indiana, <br />for the Chet Waggoner Little League to hold a parade on Saturday, May <br />22, 1971, commencing at about 8:30 A.M., going west from the parking tot <br />on Park Lane to Main Street, south on Main to Marion, west on Marion to <br />William Street, and north on Portage to its parr, and for the use of a <br />Fire Truck in the parade and a police escort, on condition that a <br />certificate of proper insurance to hold the City harmless is filed with <br />the Board. <br />TRAFFIC REGULATION APPROVED - DELAWARE STREET AT GRANT <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimouslycarried, the Board approved <br />the recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department -for the installa- <br />tion of stop signs and posts on Delaware at Grant Street, on the north- <br />east and southwest corners. <br />STREET LIGHTING APPROVED <br />Crest Manor and Kensington Farms: <br />The validity of the annexation of Crest Manor and Kensington Farms having <br />now been upheld by the Appellate Court of Indiana, Mr. Crumpacker moved <br />that street lighting for 06- area as recommended by the Traffic Engineering <br />Department March 5, 1971, be approved. The motion was seconded and <br />carried.,for the installation of the following: <br />3 - 20,000L MV OH WP <br />45 - 7,000L MV OH WP <br />11 - 7,000L MV UG Trad. <br />at a cost of $254.10 per month. <br />Grant Street, between Parallel and Linden <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department for the installation <br />of a 7,000L MV OH WP street light between Parallel and Linden Streets, on <br />Grant Street at a cost of $45.00 per year. <br />Iroquois and Marquette <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />installation of a 7,000L MJ OH WP street light on the existing pole on <br />Iroquois Street at the alley north of North Shore Drive, at a cost of <br />$45.00 per year. <br />Northwest corner of Chapin and Western <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the <br />recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department for the installation <br />of a 7,000L MV OH WP street light on the City owned parking lot at the <br />northwest corner of Chapin and Western, at a cost of $45.00 per year. <br />CONTRACTORS' BONDS <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the following: <br />Contractor's bond for Van Overberghe Builders, Inc. - to 4110172. <br />Certificate continuing contractor's bond for <br />Bud's Concrete Contractor - to 4/6/72. <br />Certificate continuing contractor's bond for Christian <br />Wambach - to 5/7/72. <br />Certificate continuing contractor's bond for Sam Doi - to 5/7/72. <br />EXCAVATION BONDS <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the following: <br />Excavation bond for J. S. Plumbing Contractors, Inc. - to 4/30/72. <br />Certificate continuing excavation bond for <br />Dominic J. Bartolini - to 5/13/72. <br />
