Notre Dame Ave. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the Board approved the use of a fire truck in the Shrine parade on June 12, 1971, as requested by Miss Norma J. Ganaway, 214 N. Birdsell Street, South Bend, Indiana, co-chairman for the Shrine Parade. The parade route and details of the parade as worked out by the parade chairmen and Clem F. Hazinski, Traffic Engineering Director was filed with the Board. TRAFFIC CONTROL - CONSTRUCTION SITE OF INDIANA BELL TELEPHONE COMPANY Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department for traffic"control on Main and Wayne Streets in the vicinity of the construction site of the Indiana Bell Telephone Company, as follows: the installation of covered pedestrian walkways in the 300 block of South Main Street along the front of the construction site and a covered pedestrian walkway on the Wayne Street side of the building for a period of 14 months or for so long as necessary; that parking meter space occupancy be charged to Hickey Construction Company, general contractor, and that Hickey Construction Company be permitted to occupy meter spaces at the site. TRAFFIC REGULATIONS APPROVED - RIGHT TURN ON RED LIGHT Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department for vehicular traffic to turn right on a red light at the following intersections: Sample and Walnut - west bound traffic turning north. Madison and Main - eastbound traffic turning south. Madison and Lafayette - northbound traffic turning east. Ironwood and Pleasant _ eastbound turning south. Ewing and Main - eastbound turning south. TRAFFIC REGULATION APPROVED - TEMPORARY ONE-WAY 100 BLOCK W. NAVARRE Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the recommendation .of the Traffic Engineering Department to make the 100 block of W. Navarre Street one way east, temporarily, during construction work at Memorial Hospital to alleviate congested traffic. EXCAVATION BOND APPROVED Upon motion made, seconded and carried, excavation bond for Gingco Construction Company for the period 4/19/71 to 4/19/72 was approved by the Board and ordered filed. STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS Street light outage reports for the period 4/14/71 to 4/20/71 were ordered filed. 1 1
