3 1 2/8/71 FIRE DEPARTMENT - APPLICATIONS The following applications for appointment to the Fire Department were filed with the Board and referred to the Personnel Director for further processing: Paul Joseph Derda, Ralph Henry Radecki and Albert Anthony Spromberg. POLICE DEPARTMENT - APPLICATION The following applications for appointment to the Police Department were filed with the Board and 'referred to the Personnel Director for further processing: James H. Jennings, Jr., Ronald Eugene Moore. STREET LIGHTING APPROVED Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department for street lighting in the Model Cities area bounded by Chapin, LaPorte, Lincolnway West, Williams and Western Streets as follows: Install - 25 20,000L MV UG 22 7,000L MV UG 9 7,000L MV UG 4 7,000L MV OH WP f� Remove - 16 10,0001- INC UG SP 9 6,000L INC UG WP 5 6,000L INC UG .3 6,000L INC OH WP 4 4,000L INC UG SP 16 4,000L INC OH WP 1 1 ,000L INC OH WP at a cost of $2,776.20 per year. FOUR WAY STOP AT COLLEGE AND VASSAR Action by the Board on the recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Depart- ment that a four-way stop not be installed at College and Vassar Streets was deferred to afford the Board members an opportunity to study the report further. CONTRACTORS' BONDS Certificate continuing the bond of Paul E. Geans to 2/17/72 was approved by the Board. Certificate continuing the bond of John D. Skiles to 2/5/72 was approved by the Board. EXCAVATION BONDS Excavation bond on behalf of Guy Rizek Plumbing -Heating -Cooling toa2/28/72 was approved by the Board. Excavation bond on behalf of Louis M. Seago to 1/29/72 was approved by the Board. Certificate continuing excavation bond for Parkway Asphalt, Inc. to 1/l/72 was approved by the Board. STREET LIGHT OUTAGE REPORTS Street light outage reports for the period 1/lP.,/72 to 2/4/71 were ordered filed.
