<br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety convened at 9:30
<br />A.M., on December 14, 1970, with all members present.
<br />BIDS OPENED FOR JANITORIAL.SERWICES
<br />This being the date set for receiving bids for janitorial services for
<br />Municipal Services Facility and Municipal Parking Garages #1 and #2, proofs
<br />of publication in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri County News were read
<br />and found to be proper. The following bids were received:
<br />ABC Floor Cleaning Service, 821 N. Notre Dame Avenue, South Bend, Indiana.
<br />Non collusion affidavits were found to be proper. The bids were accompanied
<br />by certified checls in the amount of $960.00 and $150.00. Bids were as follows:
<br />Municipal Services Facility @ $19,200.00 per year, payable $1,600.00 per mo.
<br />Municipal Parking.Garage #1 @ 3,000.00 per year, payable @ $ 250.00 per mo.
<br />Municipal Parking Garage #2 @ 3,000.00 per year, payable @ $ 250.00 per mo.
<br />with option to renew for 1972 at the same price.
<br />South Bend Window Cleaning Co., 501 E. LaSalle Street, South Bend, Indiana.
<br />Non collusion affidavit was found to be proper. Bid was accompanied by a bid
<br />bond in the amount of 5% of the bid. The bid was as follows:
<br />Ga Municipal Services Facility $20,880.00 per year, payable @ $1,740.00 per mo.
<br />Municipal Parking Garage #1 @ $ 3,480.00 per year, payable @ $ 290.00 per mo.
<br />Municipal Parking Garage #2 @ $ 3,480.00 per year, payable @ $ 290.00 per mo.
<br />The bid of Armstrong Building Maintenance. 917 21st Street, South Bend, -Indiana,

<br />certified check.
<br />The bid of Major Qualls Cleaning Company, 116 S. Chestnut Street, South Bend,
<br />Indiana, was opened and was not considered because the non collusion affidavit
<br />was not signed.
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the bids to be considered were referred
<br />to the Purchasing Department for review and recommendation.
<br />BIDS OPENED FOR 1971 MOTOR EQUIPMENT
<br />This being the date set for receiving bids for 1971 cars for various Departments
<br />proofs of publication of notice in the South Bend Tribune and the Tri` County News
<br />on November 20 and November 27, 1970, were read and found to be proper. The
<br />following bids were received:
<br />Freeman Spicer, 520 S. Lafayette, South Bend, Indiana. Non collusion affidavit
<br />was found to be proper. The bid was accompanied by a b.id bond in the amount of
<br />10% of the bi.d.. Bid is tabulated at page 279=A.

<br />Non collusion affidavit was found to be proper. The bid was accompanied by a

<br />affidavit was found to be proper. The bid was accompanied by a bid bond in the

<br />BIDS OPENED FOR INSTALLATION OF CULVERT - IRONWOOD DRIVE
<br />The following bids, or proposals, were opened and read for the installation
<br />of a culvert on S. Ironwood Drive north of Ridgedale Road, under Resolution No.
