11/30/70 <br />PETITION FILED TO VACATE ALLEY - FRANK J. MORROW <br />Arthur W. Frisk attorney, files with the Board the petition of Frank J. Morrow, <br />to vacate the east -west alley between Lots 56 and 57, between the west line of <br />South 24th Street and the east line of the first,-Morth-south alley west of <br />South 24th Street, in the city of South Bend, Indiana, together with a deposit <br />of $65.00•for costs. Upon motion made, seconded and card ed, the petition was <br />referred simultaneously to the Engineering Department and the Area Plan <br />Commission for study and recommendation, <br />COMPLAINT OF CLARA NOWICKI - JUNK CARS <br />Mrs. Clara Nowicki, 1410 W. Ford Street, South Bend, Indiana, appeared before <br />the Board and complained of "junk" cars parked on either side of her garage <br />for a long period of time and asked that they be removed. The matter will <br />be referred to Cecil McHenry for investigation. <br />TAXICAB DRIVERIS LICENSE - ROBERT HENDERSON <br />Robert Leon Henderson appeared before the Board in reference to his appli- <br />cation for a taxicab driver's license, previously denied, explaining he was <br />out of town on September 28, 1970, when requested to appear before the Board <br />and was unable to be present. Mr. Henderson asked a review of his application <br />and was referred to the office of the City Controller. <br />COMPLAINT OF MELTON 0. BRANNAN <br />A letter -of complaint from Melton 0. Brannan, President, River Park 3rd District <br />Democratic Club, Inc., 3024 Mishawaka Avenue, South -Bend, Indiana, regarding <br />the use of snow plows by the Street Department was reviewed and referred to <br />the Street Department. <br />REQUEST OF GREYHOUND LINES TO ESTABLISH BUS SERVICE BETWEEN CHICAGO AND <br />NOTRE DAME WEEK ENDS <br />Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the -Board approved the request of <br />Greyhound Lines, Clark and Randolph Streets, Chicago, Illinois, 60601 to <br />establish a bus service between Chicago and Notre Dame on Fridays and <br />Sundays, traveling between U. S. #31 and the campus via Angela Boulevard. <br />CERTIFICATES CONTINUING CONTRACTORS' BONDS REJECTED <br />Certificate continuing contractor's bond on behalf of'Hickey Construction <br />Company to 1/l/72 was rejected and ordered returned for the attachment of a <br />proper power of attorney. <br />Certificate continuing contractor's bond on behalf of Tuggy Ito, d/b/a Ralph <br />Keller Company was rejected and returned for the attachment of a proper <br />power of attorney. <br />CERTIFICATE CONTINUING EXCAVATION BOND REJECTED <br />Certificate ¢ontinuing excavation bond on behalf of Tuggy Ito, d/b/a Ralph <br />Keller Company was rejected and ordered returned for a proper bond. <br />CERTIFICATES CONTINUING CONTRACTORS' BONDS APPROVED <br />Upon motion madg, seconded and carried, certificates continuing contractors' <br />bonds for the following were approved: <br />Asher Construction Co., Inc. - to 1/1/72 <br />H. G. Christman Constr. Co., Inc.- to 1/l/72 <br />Charles Kopsea and Wm.
