11/30/70 PETITION FILED TO VACATE ALLEY - FRANK J. MORROW Arthur W. Frisk attorney, files with the Board the petition of Frank J. Morrow, to vacate the east -west alley between Lots 56 and 57, between the west line of South 24th Street and the east line of the first,-Morth-south alley west of South 24th Street, in the city of South Bend, Indiana, together with a deposit of $65.00•for costs. Upon motion made, seconded and card ed, the petition was referred simultaneously to the Engineering Department and the Area Plan Commission for study and recommendation, COMPLAINT OF CLARA NOWICKI - JUNK CARS Mrs. Clara Nowicki, 1410 W. Ford Street, South Bend, Indiana, appeared before the Board and complained of "junk" cars parked on either side of her garage for a long period of time and asked that they be removed. The matter will be referred to Cecil McHenry for investigation. TAXICAB DRIVERIS LICENSE - ROBERT HENDERSON Robert Leon Henderson appeared before the Board in reference to his appli- cation for a taxicab driver's license, previously denied, explaining he was out of town on September 28, 1970, when requested to appear before the Board and was unable to be present. Mr. Henderson asked a review of his application and was referred to the office of the City Controller. COMPLAINT OF MELTON 0. BRANNAN A letter -of complaint from Melton 0. Brannan, President, River Park 3rd District Democratic Club, Inc., 3024 Mishawaka Avenue, South -Bend, Indiana, regarding the use of snow plows by the Street Department was reviewed and referred to the Street Department. REQUEST OF GREYHOUND LINES TO ESTABLISH BUS SERVICE BETWEEN CHICAGO AND NOTRE DAME WEEK ENDS Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the -Board approved the request of Greyhound Lines, Clark and Randolph Streets, Chicago, Illinois, 60601 to establish a bus service between Chicago and Notre Dame on Fridays and Sundays, traveling between U. S. #31 and the campus via Angela Boulevard. CERTIFICATES CONTINUING CONTRACTORS' BONDS REJECTED Certificate continuing contractor's bond on behalf of'Hickey Construction Company to 1/l/72 was rejected and ordered returned for the attachment of a proper power of attorney. Certificate continuing contractor's bond on behalf of Tuggy Ito, d/b/a Ralph Keller Company was rejected and returned for the attachment of a proper power of attorney. CERTIFICATE CONTINUING EXCAVATION BOND REJECTED Certificate ¢ontinuing excavation bond on behalf of Tuggy Ito, d/b/a Ralph Keller Company was rejected and ordered returned for a proper bond. CERTIFICATES CONTINUING CONTRACTORS' BONDS APPROVED Upon motion madg, seconded and carried, certificates continuing contractors' bonds for the following were approved: Asher Construction Co., Inc. - to 1/1/72 H. G. Christman Constr. Co., Inc.- to 1/l/72 Charles Kopsea and Wm.
