10/19/70 STREET LIGHTING APPROVED Upton motion made, seconded acid carlried, THE Board approved the removal of old street lighting and the installation of new lighting for the improve- ment of the following areas as recommended by the Traffic Engineering De- partment: North of Culver Place, bounded by Culver Place. Riverside, Oakwood and Portage - at a cost of $1,137.00 per year. Chippewa Street, west of Michigan and the Chippewa Penn Central Rail- road crossing - at a cost of $747.00 per year. Area bounded by Sheridan, Ford, Dundee and Western - at a cost of $1,090.40 per year. Area bounded by Elwood, Olive, Hartzer and Bendix - at a cost of $7,,843.20 per year. Area bounded by Marion, Lafayette, Park Lane and Michigan - at a cost of $934.80 per year. Angela Bou levard,.from North Shore to Portage - at a cost of $165.00 per year. Area bounded by Angela, Riverside, Forest and Portage - at a cost of $880.20 per year. Area bounded by Calvert, Williams, Ewing and Oliver - at a cost of $1,343.40 per year. Area adjacent to Muessel School - at a cost of $388.00 per year. Area surrounding 600 N. Cushing Street - at a cost of $613.80 per year. STREET LIGHTING UNDER ADVISEMENT Upon motion made, seconded and.carried, the recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department for street -lighting in an area bounded by Riverside, Lafayette, Navarre and (Forest Avenue was taken under advisement. Upon motion made, seconded and carried, the recommendation of the Traffic Engineering Department for street lighting in the area of Riverside Drive was taken under advisement. STREET LIGHT FINANCIAL REPORT - TRAFFIC ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT Street light budget report of the Assistant Director of the Traffic Engineer- ing Department was reviewed and ordered filed. CONTRACTORS' BONDS APPROVED Upon motion made, seconded and carried, contractors' bonds were approved as follows: Contractor's bond for Charles Hampton - to 10/15/71 Contractor's bond for Eddie Spagnolo - to 10/ 9/71 Contractor's bond for Joseph Wiley and Charles Walter - to 10/16/71 Certificate continuing contractor's bond for John Wright and Sons, Inc. - to 10/ 1/71 Certificate continuing contractor's bond for Van Ooteghem and Son, Inc. - to 10/17/71 EXCAVATION BOND APPROVED Upon motion made, seconded and carried, excavation bond was approved for S & W Construction Company, Inc., to 10/l/71.
