7/13/70 PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON CLEVELAND ROAD It was moved,seconded and carried that the recommendation of Traffic Engineer Clem Hazinski for parking restriction on Cleveland Road be approved. TREET LIGHTING - MISHAWAKA AVENUE The recommendation of Ralph Wadzinski, Asst. Traffic Engineer, that street lighting on Mishawaka Ave. from Logan to 30th Street be updated was approved upon motion: made, seconded and carried. The additional cost to the City will be $412.80 per year. HEATING SYSTEM -- MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM AND WATER WORKS BUILDING It was moved, seconded and carried that agreement,between the City and Mathews, Purucker & Associates, Inc. for preliminary plans for heating of the buildings be approved. The cost of this service is to be $2500.00, and copy of signed agreement is filed with the Board. �0 CLEVELAND-ROAD-SEWER EXTENSION A motion was made, se-conded,and carried that the recommendation of Kent S. Kaser, Engineer, to award contract to Woodruff and Sons, Inc. on their bid of $14,606.00,be accepted. A copy of the contract is filed with the Board. PETITION FOR STREET LIGHT:- FOREST AVENUE The petition of Mrs. Bruce Dunfee and 13 others for a street light at 827 Forest Avenue was referred to the Engineering Department for review and recommendation. STREET LIGHTING RECOMMENDATIONS Upon motions made, seconded and carried the recommendations of Ralph Wadzinski, Asst. Traffic Engineer, for street lighting on the following listed projects were approved: Relighting of Main Street from Madison to LaSalle at an annual cost of $195.00 Relighting of Lincoln Way West from Chapin to LaSalle and LaSalle from Williams to Main Street. The annual.cost of this improve- ment is $ 988 .2 0 . Relighting of North Michigan Street from Angela Boulevard south to the present 43,000 L, fluorescent system north of LaSalle. The annual cost of this improvement to be $2,191.20. Additional "Yard Lighting" for Municipal Services Facility at an annual cost of $170.40. Lafayette Boulevard relighting from Bronson Street to Marion Street at an annual cost of $2,085.00. Street Lighting in Cummings Industrial Park at an annual cost of $514 .80 (Cotter Street, Kemble Ave . , Kendall Street area) . Memos recommending the above lighting projects are filed with the Board. REQUEST TO CLOSE ALLEYS -- William Penn Fraternal Association It was moved, seconded and carried that permission be granted for the closing of alleys surrounding the William Penn building in order that they may hold their annual picnic on their surrounding property, The Street Dept. is to be requested to grade the alleys before the picnic which will take place August 1, 1970 beginning at 12:00 noon.
