7/13/70 <br />PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON CLEVELAND ROAD <br />It was moved,seconded and carried that the recommendation of Traffic <br />Engineer Clem Hazinski for parking restriction on Cleveland Road be <br />approved. <br />TREET LIGHTING - MISHAWAKA AVENUE <br />The recommendation of Ralph Wadzinski, Asst. Traffic Engineer, that <br />street lighting on Mishawaka Ave. from Logan to 30th Street be updated <br />was approved upon motion: made, seconded and carried. The additional <br />cost to the City will be $412.80 per year. <br />HEATING SYSTEM -- MORRIS CIVIC AUDITORIUM AND WATER WORKS BUILDING <br />It was moved, seconded and carried that agreement,between the City and <br />Mathews, Purucker & Associates, Inc. for preliminary plans for heating <br />of the buildings be approved. The cost of this service is to be <br />$2500.00, and copy of signed agreement is filed with the Board. <br />�0 <br />CLEVELAND-ROAD-SEWER EXTENSION <br />A motion was made, se-conded,and carried that the recommendation of <br />Kent S. Kaser, Engineer, to award contract to Woodruff and Sons, Inc. <br />on their bid of $14,606.00,be accepted. A copy of the contract is <br />filed with the Board. <br />PETITION FOR STREET LIGHT:- FOREST AVENUE <br />The petition of Mrs. Bruce Dunfee and 13 others for a street light <br />at 827 Forest Avenue was referred to the Engineering Department for <br />review and recommendation. <br />STREET LIGHTING RECOMMENDATIONS <br />Upon motions made, seconded and carried the recommendations of Ralph <br />Wadzinski, Asst. Traffic Engineer, for street lighting on the following <br />listed projects were approved: <br />Relighting of Main Street from Madison to LaSalle at an annual cost <br />of $195.00 <br />Relighting of Lincoln Way West from Chapin to LaSalle and LaSalle <br />from Williams to Main Street. The annual.cost of this improve- <br />ment is $ 988 .2 0 . <br />Relighting of North Michigan Street from Angela Boulevard south to <br />the present 43,000 L, fluorescent system north of LaSalle. The <br />annual cost of this improvement to be $2,191.20. <br />Additional "Yard Lighting" for Municipal Services Facility at an <br />annual cost of $170.40. <br />Lafayette Boulevard relighting from Bronson Street to Marion Street <br />at an annual cost of $2,085.00. <br />Street Lighting in Cummings Industrial Park at an annual cost of <br />$514 .80 (Cotter Street, Kemble Ave . , Kendall Street area) . <br />Memos recommending the above lighting projects are filed with the Board. <br />REQUEST TO CLOSE ALLEYS -- William Penn Fraternal Association <br />It was moved, seconded and carried that permission be granted for the <br />closing of alleys surrounding the William Penn building in order that <br />they may hold their annual picnic on their surrounding property, The <br />Street Dept. is to be requested to grade the alleys before the picnic <br />which will take place August 1, 1970 beginning at 12:00 noon. <br />
