<br />'607 W..Wayne Street. Carolyn L. Binder, 921 E. Colfax Avenue, South Bend',
<br />Indiana, appeared before the Board as requested, and stated the property be-
<br />longed to J. J. Binder, her former husband, now deceased; that they intend
<br />to repair it and are trying to keep it closed. Upon motion made, seconded
<br />and unanimously carried, the matter pertaining to the structure at 607 W. Wayne
<br />Street was continued indefinitely and the Sub -Standards Director was requested
<br />to keep the property under surveillance.
<br />507 E. South Street. Jonothan C. Downs, 95 W. 147th Street (rear), Harvey,
<br />Illinois, owner of this property, appeared before the Board and stated he
<br />expects to repair the building and has completed part of it; and that the
<br />structure will be secured this week. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously
<br />carried, the matter was continued one week to permit the owner to close the
<br />building.
<br />1506 S. Pulaski. Neither Bennie nor Edna Michor appeared as requested. Mr.
<br />Adamson submitted a letter from Bennie Michor indicating his agreement for
<br />the demolition of the building. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously
<br />carried, permission was granted for the Sub -Standards Director to seek bids
<br />for demolition of the structure at 1506 S. Pulaski Street.
<br />t237 Van Buren Street. Attorney Paul Schwertly appeared before the Board and
<br />asked a further extension of one week in order to try to work out something
<br />with the attorney for the other owner, which, upon motion made, seconded and
<br />carried, was granted.
<br />1033 Hudson Street. Mr. Adamson reported this property still open as of May 31,
<br />1970. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Sub -Standards
<br />Director was authorized to seek bids for demolition of the structure at 1033
<br />Hudson Street.
<br />717 S. Arnold Street. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried,.the
<br />Sub -Standards Director was authorized to seek bids for demolition of the
<br />structure at 717 S. Arnold Street.
<br />1320 Hine Street. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the matter
<br />of 1320 Hine Street was continued one week to allow time to hear from the owner.
<br />2808 Pleasant Street. Mr. Adamson submitted.a picture of the premises and stated
<br />the property has been empty off and on for at least a year. Upon motion made,
<br />seconded and unanimously carried, the matter was continued one week, and the Sub -
<br />Standards Director was requested to contact the owner and advise him if the
<br />structure is not closed by June 8, 1970, then it will be taken down by the City.
<br />721 W. Wayne Street. Herbert Thomas, 414 S. Bendix, South Bend, Indiana,
<br />appeared before the Board and stated he is now the owner of the owner of the
<br />property and will demolish the structure within the week. Upon motion made,
<br />seconded and carried, the matter was continued one week for the owner to demolish
<br />the structure.
<br />841-843-8432 S. Behdix Drive and 844 S. Liberty Street. Mr. Adamson reported
<br />these two properties have been sold to O'Neal Trucking Company and O'Neal Trucking
<br />Company will demolish them. Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried,
<br />the matters were continued indefinitely and the Sub -Standards Director was -re-
<br />quested to keep the properties under surveillance.
<br />736 N. Frances Street. Mr. Adamson reported he has been unable to meet with
<br />Wallace J. Mitchell, the owner, to date. Upon motion made, seconded and
<br />unanimously carried, the matter was continued two weeks for the owner to appear
<br />before the Board.
<br />720 George Street. Mr. Adamson reported nothing has been heard from Francis T.
<br />Sriver, the owner of the property. Upon motion -made, seconded and unanimously
<br />carried, the matter was continued one week for the Sub -Standards Department to
<br />contact the owner.
<br />Demolition bids opened:

<br />opened. Non collusion affidavits were examined and found to be proper. The
