<br />HEARING ON ASSESSMENT ROLL - RESOLUTION NO. 3300 - FELLOWS STREET OPENING
<br />Hearing on the assessment roll, continued from March 30,.'1970, for the opening.,
<br />of Fellows Street, as follows:
<br />A public street 60 feet in width running north and south in
<br />the northwest Quarter of Section 25, Township 37 north, Range
<br />2 east, and connectiong at both ends with Fellows Street as
<br />presently existing and constituting an extension thereof from
<br />Walter Street to the north line of the southeasti Quarter of
<br />the northwest Quarter of said Section, the centerline of said
<br />proposed extension to coincide with.the centerline of Fellows
<br />Street as presently existing at both ends.
<br />was resumed.
<br />F. Gerard Feeney, attorney for the heirs of Robert William Maurice, appeared
<br />before the Board.
<br />It was moved, seconded and unanimously carried that the assessment roll,, as
<br />amended by agreement with the heirs of Robert William Maurice appearing March
<br />30, 1970, be finally approved and confirmed and that all documents pertaining
<br />to said agreement be exchanged between the parties at this time. 1GkWX)0VftX

<br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3309, 1970 RESCINDED - FELLOWS STREET SEWER
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, Improvement Resolution No. 3309,
<br />1970, adopted March 2, 1'970, being for the improvement of Fellows Street, from
<br />Walters'Street north to the existing manhole in Fellows Street approximately
<br />180 feet south to Barbie Street, by constructing a local sewer, was rescinded.
<br />CONTRACTS AWARDED FOR STREET MATERIALS
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the
<br />recommendation of the Street Commissioner for the award_ of contracts for
<br />street materials on bids received April 6, 1970, as follows:
<br />Bituminous Materials Company, Inc. Item #3 - SS-1H emulsified asphalts
<br />(Anionic) on its low bid of $0.1210 per gallon. Item #6 - for street
<br />patching materials on its low bid of $7.25 per ton for stone and $6.75
<br />per ton for gravel.
<br />Emulsified Asphalts, Inc. Item #3 - SS-1H emulsified asphalt (Anionic)
<br />quick set --for product evaluation.
<br />CONTRACT AWARDED - IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 3297 - HAWTHORNE DRIVE
<br />Clyde E. Williams and Associates, Inc., consulting engineers, and the Board
<br />having considered all bids submitted on March 23, 1970, for the improvement of
<br />Hawthorne Drive, from McKinley to Colfax Avenue, by constructing a Class C
<br />pavement with curb repair; and the consulting engineer having recommended
<br />Class C, Type I, concrete pavement; and 46% or more of the resident property
<br />owners on said Hawthorne Drive, on or before April 10, 1970, having requested
<br />in writing that said Hawthorne Drive be paved with a Class C, Type IV, pavement,
<br />the preliminary order for Class C, Type 1, pavement is hereby rescinded and.
<br />said street ordered paved with Class C, Type IV, pavement.
<br />Upon motion.•motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, contract for
<br />said improvement was awarded to Parkway Asphalt, Inc., on its low bid of
<br />$8,108.10 for Class C, Type IV, pavement for said improvement.
<br />ENGINEER'S RECOMMENDATION - ROSEMARY LANE SEWER EXTENSION
<br />Consulting Engineer, Pharis-Kaser & Associates, Inc., files with the Board its
<br />recommendation for the award of contract for the Rosemary Lane sewer extension
<br />on bids received April 6, 1970, to Dye Plumbing and Heating Company on the
<br />basis of its Alternate 2 of Item #6 and Alternate B of Item #7 in the total amount
<br />of $29,614.85.
<br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the matter was taken under
<br />advisement one week.
