APPLICATION - FIRE DEPARTMENT The applications of Paul Ray Hornberger and Joseph Michael Waechter for appointment to the Fire Department were filed with the Board and referred to the Personnel Director for further processing-. HYDRANT INSTALLATIONS Upon motion made,�seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the recommendation of•Fire Chief Joseph L. Zurat for the following hydrant installations: Airport Industrial Park, Phase I and II - Progress Drive, Kenmore and Commerce Avenue area - a total of 13. At the alley next to the Essex Nursing Home on 20th Street at North Side Boulevard - One hydrant. Near Cardinal Nursing home at Eddy and LaSalle --one hydrant at the corner of Eddy and McKinley; and one hydrant on LaSalle Avenue no more than 350 feet east of Eddy Street. Bussert for Captain Gerald Knepper to attend the IBM School on "Local Government -Law Enforcement" in San Jose, California April 27, through May 1, 1970. PROMOTIONS - POLICE DEPARTMENT Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously carried, the Board approved the recommendation of Chief of Police Loren M. Bussert for the following pro- motions from the rank of patrolman to the rank of corporal., effective April 16, 1970: Ronald Ingle Richard Strozewski Joseph Markovich William Stoynoff APPLICATIONS - POLICE DEPARTMENT The following applications for appointment to the South Bend Police Department were filed with the Board and referred to the Personnel Director for further processing: David Rudolph Csenar Gordon LeRoy Hoke Dale Allen,Dyer Thomas 0. Manuwal - BUILDING DEPARTMENT - SUB -STANDARDS DIVISION J. W. Adamson, Sub -Standards Director, appeared before the Board and the following matters were taken up: 725 S. Fellows Street.
